Hello! We are Ricardo and Raquel. Thank you for taking the time to take a look inside our lives and consider us as adoptive parents. We value family first and our Catholic faith. After trying to conceive on our own and a failed attempt at IVF, we believe God has led us to adoption. We are so eager to welcome our first child and devote our lives to a child that was meant to be a part of our family.
About Us:
We met through a popular dating website. We both come from close-knit Hispanic families. We have been married for three years and enjoy spending time together. We stay active with our workouts; Ricardo enjoys work out DVD's while Raquel enjoys classes at the gym. We get together with friends and family for dinner or cookouts, enjoy play time with our dog Oscar, enjoy movies, camping and traveling.
About Ricardo by Raquel:
I knew I was going to marry Ricardo after attending church together, just after three months of dating. I loved that he was into his Catholic faith, sincere and truly genuine. Ricardo comes from a huge extended family; I learned early on that he was someone who cares deeply for his family. When we go to visit his family, it always consists of family get-togethers. Ricardo's love for camping has rubbed off on me; he’s included me in yearly camping trips that his friends and family coordinate together. Ricardo also enjoys cooking out on the grill and golfing with friends.
The one thing I admire most about Ricardo is his passion for his work, he is a Civil
Engineer and knew early on what he wanted to be, went to college on his own and has become a successful Engineer having worked for the same company for over 13 years.
About Raquel by Ricardo:
Raquel is admirable, friendly, and loving person. I knew the first day we me that she was special and was only enforced with how well we communicated with each other. I saw on my first date what her friends and family have seen for years, a beautiful person inside and out. Raquel is very organized and keeps our home well-kept and presentable. She is very close to her mother and talks to her almost daily. Raquel is very detail oriented and a great planner. Raquel enjoys many classes at the gym; Zumba, Turbo Kick, Hip Hop Hustle and recently got certified to teach Hip Hop Hustle.
Our Home:
We have a beautiful three bedroom, two and a half bath house with a bonus room upstairs. Since moving in we have enjoyed upgrading our home. We live on a corner lot in a quiet, family oriented community that’s well known for its acclaimed schools. Our home is within walking distance to the elementary school, our amenities center, which includes five pools, gym, playground, tennis and basketball courts and walking trails.
Our Dog:
We have a three year old American Bulldog, Oscar who loves being the center of attention. He's very playful and does really well around kids.
Our Family:
Ricardo grew up as the middle child, with an older brother and younger brother. Both are married, his oldest having 2 young boys and his youngest brother with a baby on the way. Ricardo has an 86 year old grandmother and a 91 year old grandfather. Raquel grew up as the youngest, with only one older brother who is married. Most
Sundays are spent at Raquel's parent's house and Holidays and vacations are spent with Ricardo's family. We are all very close with our families and value our time together.
Our Faith:
We are both Catholic and live our lives following our faith. We go to church often and make sure God is a part of our everyday activities. We would love to share our faith with your child and watch them grow spiritually.
Our Promise to You
We will love your child unconditionally, raising him or her in a family with Hispanic traditions. We will teach them good values and raise them in the Catholic faith. We will provide encouragement throughout their life to pursue their dreams and become successful in life. We have family and friends eager to open their hearts and give love to your baby.
