Hi! We are Courtney and Jessica from Louisiana. Thank you for considering us as loving parents for your child. Due to infertility we have chosen adoption. We hope this letter and these photos give an accurate image of who we are and the kind of parents we will be to your child. We want you to know our home is warm and happy and will always be a place of love and encouragement.
Our Life Together
We met on a blind date in 2003 and are now best friends and can count on each other for anything! We have had a great seven year marriage and look forward to many more. Our trust, love, communication, and dedication to each other, has helped our marriage be successful. We are a couple that enjoys the simple things in life. We enjoy hanging out with our dogs Beaux and Sam, being out in the boat, doing yard work, snuggling on the couch, or watching TV. We just enjoy being together.
My Wife Jess...
Jess is a beautiful person inside and out. Her love for people, for animals, for family and for me is what makes me love her more and more. She is the most selfless person I know. She will help anyone that needs it. She is a genuine, sweet, caring, friendly, and a big-hearted person. I love the way she blushes and turns red with she is nervous. She loves to read, play with our dogs, go for rides in the boat, and go to the movies. Jess is one of the strongest and most awesome people I know.
My Husband, Court...
Court is someone I can count on for anything. I always say they don’t make them like him anymore. He is friendly, compassionate, kind, loving, energetic and patient. When I see him interact with children, I know he will make an awesome dad. He loves to fish and hunt, play with our dogs and watch football. Court is a hard worker and has had a successful career in the oil industry in Louisiana for 16 years. He doesn't travel with his job, so I am lucky to have him home at night. I love this man dearly and I know he was part of God’s plan for my life. We definitely complement each other and the bond we share is special!
Our Home
We recently built a new home a rural community in South Louisiana. We live in a very family oriented neighborhood, in one of the best school districts in our area. Our home has three bedrooms and our backyard is lined with seven big oak trees. We love spending time with family, friends and our pups as well as watching the squirrels and birds in our backyard.
Our Families
We were both very fortunate to be raised by loving and supportive parents. Family is important to both of us and we spend as much time together as we can. All of our family lives no more than 30 minutes away. Jessica has one sister that is married and has 2 sons- one nine years old, and one four. We are known as their "Taunt" and "Naunk." Court has 3 older sisters. On his side of the family we have three nephews and two nieces ranging from 22-10 years old. Everyone is excited to have a baby in the family to love and spoil.
Our Dogs Are Part of the Family
We have had Beaux for three years now. We call him our little "snuggle bug." He loves giving kisses and playing.
We picked up Sam from the side of the road. She was so skinny and sick. We nursed her back to health. She has a very gentle disposition. Both are great with kids!
Parenting and Education
We will raise our children with Christian values and will teach them respect for all people. They will be encouraged to pursue their dreams whatever they may be. We will do our best to introduce our children to opportunities and adventures. We enjoy the simple things in life and want them to appreciate them as well.
In Closing
We have been truly blessed in so many ways and we hope we will soon be blessed with a child to love and cherish. We are far from perfect, but we promise to always strive to provide love, a stable home with lots of love, and family and friends to surround and love him or her.
