We sincerely thank you for taking the time to consider us. We live in central Alabama, near Montgomery. We recently celebrated our tenth anniversary, and have a wonderful loving marriage. Shortly after trying to start a family, we learned that having a biological child would be nearly impossible, and felt as though God intended us to start a family through adoption.
About Us
We met in college, where we were both members of the marching band. After we were married, Cecilia continued her education to graduate with a Master's degree in elementary education, while Joey began obtaining technical certifications in the computer industry. Both of us come from very strong families where providing a good education was always the top priority. Because of that, many members of our families are teachers today. We are committed to providing nothing less than a first class education for your child, all the way through a college degree.
We love spending time together, and have many common interests, such as watching our Auburn Tigers play football in the fall. We also enjoy traveling, and take a trip to the beach every year. At home, we are often both working in the kitchen trying new recipes for dinner.
About Cecilia
Cecilia is the single most amazing woman I have ever known. She is intelligent, creative, thoughtful, and hard working. At home, she keeps the house clean and organized. She enjoys cooking, and is quite talented at decorating cakes. She has a wonderful and bright classroom where she teaches, and other teachers around her are often “borrowing” her creative and cute ideas. She is dedicated to her family, and devotes a lot of time to nephews and nieces, attending baseball games, gymnastics practices, and helping cook for everyone on the Fourth of July. There is no doubt in my mind that she would make an incredible mother, and take great pride and joy in raising our child, whether that means hauling a trunk full of sports equipment, or a car full of pink tutus.
About Joey
Joey is a wonderful husband. He was truly a gift from God for me. I know he will be a wonderful dad. He has a great sense of humor and keeps me laughing. He is a software engineer and loves to work with computers. He even built his own computer at home! He is an incredibly hard worker and a wonderful provider for our family. He is also a great uncle. He takes an active role in all our nephews and nieces lives. He is also supportive in everything I do. He even joins me at my elementary school to help out whenever he has the chance. He is a talented trumpet player. He plays at church for special occasions. He is excited about the opportunity to share experiences and learn new things with a child.
Our Family
Our families are excited about us welcoming a child through adoption. We have very close relationships with our families, with both of our mothers living within 20 miles of us. Joey comes from a large family, with an older brother, three older sisters, eight nephews, and one niece on his side of the family. Cecilia comes from a smaller family, having an older sister, who is also an adoptive mom to our youngest niece. Cecilia's mother is also looking forward to coming to our house to help with child care. Family get-togethers are a wonderful time with food and fun all around, and usually include a few competitions of air hockey or games on the Wii.
Our Home & Pet
We live in a beautiful four bedroom home on a quiet street where there is very little traffic, and lots of children playing. We also have a neighborhood pool and a great playground at our church just a few minutes away. We also have a dog, Jasmine, who came to us from the Humane Society. She has a sweet disposition, and loves people, especially those who treat her to a milk bone!

The will grow up knowing their adoption story, and the great love you have for them.
