Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. We are hoping to become first-time parents and are looking forward to getting to know you! We are a young, friendly, and energetic couple with stable jobs who are ready to offer a loving, fun, creative, and Christ-centered home to a child. Adoption has been a blessing in our extended family and we have called to adopt even before we were married.
About Us
We met in college and trusted God to bring us through a long distance relationship due to Thomas’ military service. Looking back, the challenges we faced during that time only strengthened our commitment to each other. We have enjoyed experiencing the ups and downs of life together and look forward to many fulfilling years to come. The most important aspect of our lives is our Christian faith. We strive to live out our faith by helping others, and staying positive no matter the circumstance.
We both work at a successful engineering company that is people-oriented and very flexible when it comes to family time. We maintain a budget and already have a college fund set aside for any children that come into our lives.
Our favorite thing to do together in the evenings is go to the park with our puppy, Major. We love to be outside playing catch or soccer, fishing, or swimming in the pool. On the weekends, we like to volunteer with local organizations, participate in charity walks, relax with our friends, and teach the 0-2 year old class at church each Sunday.
We enjoy traveling and have a lifetime goal of visiting all seven continents with our children. One of our favorite trips so far was an Alaskan cruise where we went dog sledding and whale watching. We typically visit the Pacific Northwest once or twice a year to visit family members. While there, we go rafting and snow tubing! When we aren't traveling, we enjoy entertaining family and friends in our home or just relaxing together.
About Thomas
Thomas is the most patient and caring person I know. After college he served as a Marine Corps officer but is now a reservist and committed family man with a great sense of humor. His specialty is his secret recipe for chicken legs on the grill. He enjoys Jeopardy-type trivia, woodworking, staying in shape, and is a computer whiz.
Thomas is always finding ways to help around the house and makes it a priority to balance his work and home life in order to put his family first. He enjoys seeing a smile on my face and knows the way to my heart is by bringing home chocolate ice cream when I least expect it. I know he will show similar interest and affection towards a child!
About Ashley
Ashley is constantly looking for a way to help others and chooses to see the good in everyone she meets. She is extremely thoughtful and regularly leaves notes in my lunch or does my share of the chores so we can spend more time together when I get home from work.
Ashley is a great listener and our friends and family often turn to her for support and level-headed thinking. She is athletic and always wants to try a new outdoor adventure from hiking to waterskiing. I know Ashley will be a great mother based on how great of a wife she is!
Our Home
We strive to make our home a comfortable place full of love. We live in a young, safe community that is complete with a lake, swimming pools, parks, and award winning schools. Last year Ashley was the Easter Bunny at the annual neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt! Our home was built for a growing family and has six bedrooms and two playrooms with ample outdoor space to run and climb trees. The baby’s nursery room is near the master bedroom.
