Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We are so excited to be able to start our family through adoption. Our house is filled with love, encouragement, and family. We share traditional values and look forward to getting to know the kind future you’d hope for your child. We’re open to keeping in touch with you.

All About Us:
We met about seven years ago at a Christian youth group, became friends, and have now been married for three years. We are fun-loving and enjoy traveling, camping, taking walks, and playing video games. Our free time is usually spent with family and friends. Every year we try to go visit some place new. We like going to the renaissance festival and even dress up in period costumes.

Both of us love the outdoors, and like to camp. Another place you will find us is curled up on the couch together watching movies or playing the Wii with friends.

We have many other hobbies and activities that we like to do. Some of our hobbies include collecting porcelain dolls for Brandi and collecting old money and coins for Adam. We like fishing and swimming.

About My Wife, Brandi:
My wife means so much to me. She helps me remember things, finish projects that I start, and she is always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need. She is loving, patient, and giving. She works at a nursing home, but dreams of having her own daycare in our home. The residents at her work comment on what a wonderful wife I have when I stop by with the dogs or bring Brandi food.

Brandi has always told me that children are very important to her. Growing up she helped with her mom’s daycare. Our friend’s children love to play with Brandi because she is fun and a good listener.

Some of the things that Brandi enjoys are scrapbooking, cooking, sewing, and reading. She also likes to swim and camp. Brandi is dependable, independent, and nurturing. She will make a very good mother.

About My Husband, Adam:
My husband is all that I could have ever dreamed of. I never thought that I would be so lucky to have a man like him. He is very gentle, funny, and loving person. He makes me laugh and smile every day. Adam works at a factory that builds doors and is respected as a co-worker and leader on the job and on the committees he serves.

Adam is very good with children. He enjoys playing with his six year old cousin and our friends’ kids. I can’t wait to see him teaching and playing with our children.

My husband enjoys hanging out with friends, grilling, collecting bald eagle items, and fixing up our house. He has been very handy in assembling all of the baby things we have gotten so far. Adam is going to make a great father, and I smile at the thought of a child calling him “daddy.”

Our House:
Our house is located in a quiet neighborhood in northern Iowa. We have an elementary school and a park close by. Our house is cozy; it has three bedrooms with a large yard. We have worked hard to make our house homey and can’t wait to finish the nursery.

We love animals; we have two dogs and two cats. We feel that having pets give kids companionship and teaches them responsibilities. Our pets are very friendly and loving.

Family and Faith:
Having family traditions makes our holidays and birthdays very special; we can’t wait to start making some of our own traditions with your child. We believe that family time is very important. Brandi has a brother and a sister, and Adam has a sister. We try to get together with our families as often as we can.

Both of us attended church and youth groups growing up. Your child will be brought up involved with church. We will give them every opportunity to grow in their faith and spirit.
