Dear Birthmother,
We were touched by adoption in 2006. We became a multicultural family when we fostered then adopted brothers Axel and Cruz. After a couple of years of infertility, we hope to be blessed and grow our family again.
About Us
We met in college and have been together 13 years, married for 10. Education is very important to us. We have a passion for our alma mater, visiting often. We are both companion animal veterinarians-caregivers. In the evening, we share our stories of the day and talk about our plans. Sports play a huge role in our lives-playing, watching, or practicing with our boys. On the weekends, we love to run and participate in charity road races, take day trips, and eat lunch at our favorite restaurant. We are both Baptist and involved in our church. We can’t wait to raise another child together!
About Andrea
Andrea is a mother who is caring and compassionate. She is also an accomplished professional woman, but she puts her family first. Andrea works hard, yet always has her boys cared for and prepared for each new day.
Andrea finds time for physical fitness with her favorite activities being running and yoga. She is also an avid reader. In all, Andrea is a complete woman who is a wonderful role model and is eager to give of herself.
About Allen
Allen is a kind, loyal, loving husband, father and vet. He is definitely my partner and best friend. He is very helpful around the house, cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen, laundry and even making the school lunches. He also has a degree in landscape architecture, so he enjoys yard work and planning.
He is known at the school because of his involvement. He plays outdoors with the boys, video games, helps with homework and any “crafty” school projects. Allen will be a wonderful and dedicated father to your daughter.
About Axel and Cruz
Axel and Cruz came into our lives as toddlers. They are loving boys who are truly attached to each other and their “mama” and “papi.”
Cruz is an energetic, bright seven year old. He reads well and has excellent handwriting. He enjoys playing Super Mario Brothers with Mama , riding his ripstick, and throwing the baseball or football with Papi. Although he is rough and tumble, he is very nurturing with younger children. He is excited about giving his baby sister her bottle.
Axel is a laid back, happy six year old. He is our comedian. His one-liners keep everyone laughing. He enjoys Bakugan, building forts for his cat, helping Mama cook and playing basketball with Papi. He promises not to tell his baby sister any scary stories.
Our Faith and Family
We belong to a contemporary, southern Baptist church that is close to home. We enjoy fellowship, Bible study and volunteering in the preschool. The boy’s attend AWANA and Sunday school. We promise to impart our faith daily and teach about God’s grace.
Andrea’s parents live three hours away near the beach. We visit several times in the summer and many holidays. Grandma comes and visits about every three months. Allen’s parents live about 45 minutes away. The boys enjoy visiting Grandma’s farm, gathering eggs, and feeding the livestock. Allen’s dad visits us often cooking lavish meals and leaving plentiful leftovers.
Of course as veterinarians, we have family pets, all adopted. We have three dogs and four cats. Axel and Cruz each have their own cat. Occasionally, we have to bring home a patient that needs a little extra TLC. The boys love to nurse them back to health.
Our Home and Community
We live on the edge of a suburb of a large Georgia city. Our home is a two story brick house with five bedrooms and three and a half baths. We have two acres, soon to expand to four acres on a dirt road with little traffic and lots of wildlife. We have a playset, large open field, creek and woods for the children to explore. Although rural, the boys do have playmates next door across the street. Schools are only 5-10 minutes away.
Our Promise
We promise to provide a loving, stable Christian home full of enrichment and family time. We feel it is important for your daughter to know her adoption story and how our family is unique. We are open to letters, photos and potentially visits. Thank you for considering us! If you have any questions or would like to speak to us, please contact Lifetime Adoption at
