We are a bilingual English/Spanish speaking family. God has blessed us with two wonderful daughters and we want to add one more blessing to our lives.  Thank you for taking the time to read about our family and why we are committed to providing the best Christian upbringing we can to our adopted child. Our Marriage
The ten years of our marriage have passed quickly to us yet we have done so much in this time. We are Floridians who travel around the world due to Allen’s job.  The foundation of our marriage is a welcoming Christian faith without a focus on judgment or denominational differences.  As the Bible teaches, we each contribute to the marriage and rearing of the children in a complementary manner.

Marcela about Allen
Allen is a Manager with the U.S. Government.  He is the most honest, loving and compassionate person I have ever met.   As a husband he has been my best friend and my support at all times. 

As a father, one couldn’t ask for better.  He is very supportive, playful, understanding and very patient. 

Allen about Marcela
Marcela is an Ultrasound Technologist who currently works part time in order to devote more time to our youngest daughter. When we are blessed with another little one Marcela will turn her attention to taking care of the baby. Marcela is very family-oriented and she has a warm, compassionate, and a very extroverted personality.  She is always involved in activities with the girls.

The Big Sisters
Jina is Allen’s teen-age daughter from a previous marriage.  She has left for college and while we miss her she’ll be with us during the next few summers.  Through God’s blessings Jina has had a private Christian education her entire life and received the moral foundation that now guides her through the tumultuous college years.

Chantel is our seven year-old who can’t wait for a new sibling.  She is active in the Brownies and she is learning to play the piano.  She is also in a private school where she excels academically and loves to play soccer.

Our Environment
We have lived in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America and we love to immerse ourselves in different cultures.  It is fascinating to see how the world itself becomes a library for wide-eyed children who are eager to learn.

We live in a penthouse condominium in a lovely gated community that is filled with kids riding their bicycles and skateboards. We have a swimming pool where Marcela, a certified scuba diver, makes sure Chantel improves her swimming.

Our Values and Parenting
We are convinced that children need structure, love, and nurturing.  From raising the girls, we know how important it is to develop their self-confidence. So far, we have succeeded by setting their goals high and then providing the support they need to attain them.  For our children to feel good about themselves as adults we know that it is our responsibility to instill strong Christian values in them from infancy.  When we encounter a bump in the road we simply refer to the Bible for guidance.

Our Extended Family
Our family is spread across several countries in Latin America and throughout the state of Florida. Going to visit family for Christmas means “which country will the girls get to visit this year?” We also have strong network of friends who are as close to us as family. The one common tie they all have is a love for family and a love for children. 

Our Promise
Simply put, we will raise our adopted child with all the love and support we give to our other daughters. We promise to provide an excellent education and unwavering Christian guidance. We promise to instill ethics and values in the baby that will guide her for the rest of her life. We promise to use all that we have learned in raising Jina and Chantel and apply this to the upbringing of the baby. We are also committed to sharing your child’s story with you as it unfolds through letters, emails, photos and an occasional visit if you desire. We are a genuinely Bible based family whose goal is to live with Christian values each day.
