Adoptive parents, Blake and Christy

Dear Birthmother,

We were both born and raised in Alabama.  While in college we were introduced by Blake’s mom, and we dated for two years before getting married almost nine years ago.  After struggling with infertility, we were blessed with the adoption of our son, Connor, two years ago through Lifetime Adoption.  We send pictures and letters to his birthmother several times a year, and we share with Connor just how special our family is to have been blessed by adoption.

We love spending time together as a family.  Most days you’ll find us alternating between the swing set and sprinkler outside and toys and puzzles inside.  We eat dinner together each night and discuss things we’ve done that day.  Our favorite activities are traveling, swimming, reading, and eating out.

Our family and friends are so excited that we are adopting again.  We are very blessed to have so many people that will love and adore your child.

Christy playing mini golfMeet My Wife, Christy…
Christy is an exceedingly patient, friendly, caring, and devoted wife and mother.  We enjoy spending time together whether it is a night out, a trip to the grocery store, or simply the three of us sitting on the couch eating popcorn and watching TV.

As a mom, Christy is Connor’s favorite storyteller and playmate.  I come home to daily recaps of their adventures at local parks and area attractions.  She really enjoys being a “momma” and can’t wait to welcome a new baby to our young family.

Blake is a very hardworking, loving, and supportive husband and father.  He just finished earning his Doctor of Pharmacy and has worked so hard to balance his responsibilities at school with family time.

I think one of Blake’s favorite activities is making Connor giggle.  It isn’t unusual to find the two of them rolling in the floor laughing.

When something needs to be assembled, Blake and Connor make a great team.  From the swing set or Connor’s toddler bed to a new outdoor dining table, I have great handymen!

Connor is going to be a great big brother!Meet Our Son, Connor…
Connor is an inquisitive, playful, and very social two year old.  He loves to run around the yard, meet friends at the park, and build towers with his blocks.  One of his new favorites is playing his harmonica.  He is fascinated with trains, and he loves to run around the house shouting, “All aboard!”

We have a great time reading stories with him.  Suddenly we’ve found ourselves with a collection of Matchbox cars, and many afternoons you’ll find us driving (or crashing) them in the living room floor.  Connor is going to be a great big brother.  He loves sneaking up to babies to kiss them on the forehead.

Blake and Christy's three bedroom home in AlabamaWelcome to Our Home…
We recently moved to south Alabama.  Our neighborhood has many young families and pets.  We are located near the beach and many parks, and of course, great shopping.

We have a three bedroom home with a large family room filled with toys.  We have a fenced backyard with a swing set and kiddie pool.  Because of the weather, we spend many days lounging in that pool!

Our Faith and Family…
We are very lucky to have Christy’s family, including a young niece and nephew, within an hour of our house.  Once a month we eat Sunday lunch at Christy’s Mamaw’s house, and she and Connor meet often with her sister’s family to make play dates with the kids.  Every summer we take a beach vacation with her mom and stepdad.  Connor loves to share a popsicle with PawPaw and chase after his grandparents’ cats.  Blake’s parents are only three hours away, and we spend a weekend with them every month.  It is very important to both of us to stay in close contact with our families.

Your child will become part of a caring family that always looks out for each otherOur Promise to You…
Providing our children with love, security, and guidance is our primary goal.  We attend church regularly and believe that it is by God’s grace that we have been so blessed by adoption.  Please know that your child will become part of a caring family that always looks out for each other.  We want to provide a stable environment and an exceptional education for your child.
