Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for considering us as an adoptive family for your baby.  We hope this letter and these pictures give you a glimpse of the loving, happy and secure home we can provide for your baby.  We are an active couple and we are excited to adopt our first child!

Getting to Know Us:
Splat! We met when Bret hit Pam with a snowball at the ripe old age of 11.  We began dating in high school and married shortly after we graduated college.  We are in our late twenties now and have been married six years.

Shortly after we were married we knew we wanted to start a family, and feel parenting will be one of our great joys in life.  We faced infertility for four years which made us stronger and we are closer than ever as we start our adoption journey.  We are so excited to become parents and know adoption will give us the opportunity to share our love, stability and happiness with a child.

Together we play on the same volleyball team, and value teamwork.  Golfing on a beautiful day is another of our favorite activities.  We enjoy time with our dogs, who are very friendly.  During the summer we enjoy boating on a beautiful Minnesota lake, canoeing down a river, biking on one of our many trails, or camping in our great outdoors.  We love winter in Minnesota too!  After a day of sledding, snowman making, ice skating, or four-wheeling we enjoy a fire and a warm cup of hot chocolate.  Yum!

About Pam by Bret
Pamela is my beloved best friend, she is the most honest and caring person I know.  She is a part-time homemaker with her other time spent crafting beautiful and artistic glass jewelry. Growing up as the oldest of seven siblings has helped make Pam an incredibly and loving, giving and responsible person. 

Some of Pam’s “guilty pleasures” would be enjoying a latte or shoe shopping, but most of the time she can be found working on some type of craft project, visiting our nieces and nephews or volunteering at church. 

About Bret by Pam
Bret is my “other half;” he truly makes me a better person.  We are inseparable and I enjoy every moment of our life together.  Bret has a fun playful personality that draws you in.  He enjoys working out and playing basketball at our community center, and watching a good movie or reading an entertaining book.

Because of his commitment, positive attitude and loving nature, I am eager to see Bret as a father.  He will, without a doubt, be an encouraging influence and Godly role model in your child’s life. 

Our Family:
Family is a very important part of our life.  We spend a great deal of time with our brothers and sisters, and consider them our best friends.  Four great grandparents and four grandparents are eagerly waiting to spoil a grandchild.  Bret’s parents are overjoyed as they await their first grandchild.

Our Home:
We live in a cozy two bedroom home in Minnesota.  Trails and parks are just steps away and the zoo, museums, shopping, schools and medical facilities are within just a few miles.  We love where we live and feel there is a great amount of opportunity in this area.

Our Faith:
We are a Christian couple with strong Christian values.  Everyday we seek new knowledge to better ourselves and improve our relationship with Jesus.  All things are possible with God and believe all glory belongs to him.

In Closing
You might wonder “What will my child’s life be like with Bret and Pam?”  We will play with toys and games together that will help stimulate his or her mind.  We’ll teach your child to play with others and promote creativity.  We’ll listen to music, read books and play sports.  We’ll teach your child to play instruments and we’ll go to swimming lessons.  We’ll play with the dogs. We’ll sing. We’ll dance.  We’ll celebrate the holidays and make our own traditions.  We’ll go to church and we’ll pray together.  We’ll encourage your child to chase his or her dreams.  We will devote our love unconditionally to your child.
