Adoptive parents, Brian and Jeannette

Dear Birthmother,

We are Brian and Jeannette and we live in Southern California. Adoption is a big part of our family. Jeannette, her father, our son Paul, and many others in our family have been adopted. We believe that adoption is a true blessing and a beautiful way to raise a family. During our marriage we have experienced infertility, but through adoption we have started building our family. Last year we were blessed to adopt our son and we can't wait to adopt again.

Jeannette and Brian try to do something fun together every dayAbout Us:
Whether it is going to the beach, visiting friends and family, or going to Disneyland, we try to do something fun together every day.

We have a strong Christian faith, which is central to our marriage and to each of us. We are members of a local non-denominational Christian church and are active in working with the high school youth group, volunteering for Vacation Bible School, and attending a weekly Bible study with eight other families.

We will raise our children with love and faith. Not only will our children be active in church with us, but will also attend a private Christian school that is attached to our church.

Jeannette has already crocheted the baby's blanketAbout Jeannette:
Jeannette is the funniest, most compassionate, and most lovable person I have ever met. She brings out the best in me and is the only person I have truly wanted to spend a lifetime with.

Jeannette is such a great mommy! She also loves being a stay-at-home mom! She and Paul are involved in MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers), Stroller Club, and several Mommy & Me classes.

Jeannette does cross-stitching, latch-hook rugs, scrap booking, and especially crocheting. She has already crocheted the baby's blanket, and is currently working on the quilt and the baby's announcement for the nursery. Jeannette has a degree in marketing and has worked in youth services since she was 16.

Brian assembling the cribAbout Brian:
Brian is my best friend, a great husband and father, and my "Goofy" (his nickname!) I fell in love with him because of his gentle and caring nature. He is a true and Godly gentleman.

Brian is a very involved father! He enjoys spending time with our son, from having "Boys Time" at the park, to building blocks, playing cars, and evening bath time. Paul and Brian have a special bond especially doing funny noises together.

Besides the Youth Group, Brian is now leading a program to help other Christians in dealing with financial problems, which fits well with his degree in accounting.

Brian loves playing cards, reading books, and going to theme parks (especially roller coasters). Brian is a wonderful listener, very intelligent and thoughtful. He is a wonderful father - patient, kind, wise and very huggable!

Paul is a happy and social little boyAbout Paul:
Paul is our handsome, happy, and very social little boy. He loves animals as well airplanes and trains! Paul loves babies and cannot wait to be the big brother. He wants to teach the new baby how to do his favorite thing - his happy dance!

Paul is Native American and Hispanic. We are going to raise him to be proud of his heritage and will help him experience it first-hand; we look forward to sharing our children's backgrounds with them and encouraging them to become confident and secure in themselves.

We will share our children's adoption stories with them as they grow. Our goal is to raise our children to love and respect their birthparents and to understand how adoption blessed us as a family.

Our Home:
Jeannette decorating the baby's room in a Noah's Ark themeWe own a three bedroom, two bathroom house only minutes away from the Pacific Ocean.

In our neighborhood, we have two parks and a greenbelt. The living room has Native American artifacts to celebrate Jeannette's Shoshoni Indian heritage. The baby's room has been done in a Noah's Ark theme with lots of rainbows and stuffed animals.

Not only is our home filled with love, it is also completely smoke-free and alcohol-free.

Our Families:
The entire family is excited about another adoption! One of the best family traditions is making molasses popcorn balls for Christmas. Jeannette's family has been doing this for five generations now. We look forward to sharing all these traditions with our children.

Brian and Jeannette are excited to adopt again! In Closing:
Thank you again for taking the time to get to know us. We are so excited to become parents again! Our hearts are open to love your child for a lifetime. We would be more than willing to share pictures, letters and possibly visits with you over time if that is your desire.
