Dear Birthmother,

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn more about us and considering us as an adoptive family for your baby.  We are a young, active, and fun-loving couple who are very excited about becoming first time parents through adoption.  We hope this letter gives you the opportunity to learn about us and the loving and happy future we can offer your child. 

About Us
We met the summer before our first year of college and married shortly after we graduated. We have now been happily married for over five years.

We have always wanted children, but after facing infertility, it became clear that God was leading us to adoption.  Our experiences with trying to start a family have truly strengthened our marriage and we are now thrilled about the experience that awaits us!

As a couple, we enjoy spending quality time together with our friends and family. In our free time, we love taking our dog Macie to the park, going to the movies, grilling out with friends, and hosting game nights.  We also enjoy traveling, especially anywhere near water!

Traditions are very important in our family.  Some of our favorites include eating pizza on Christmas Eve, Sunday night dinners at Tammy’s mom’s house, and annual summer camping trips.  We can’t wait share these traditions with our child and add new ones as our family grows!  

About Tammy (by Brian)
Tammy is the center of my world and someone for whom I have tremendous respect and admiration. She has a captivating smile and an energy that always brightens my day. 

I love her funny stories and the way she laughs at my jokes. I love her enthusiasm for us and our family, her kindness, and her passion for people, especially her passion for children.  Tammy’s love for kids is what led her to become an elementary school teacher, a career in which she truly excels.  When Tammy is not teaching, she enjoys shopping, reading, or going to the gym.

About Brian (by Tammy)
I am so blessed to have Brian as my husband and best friend.  He has a sincere heart and is one of the most genuine people I know.   I love Brian’s sense of humor and his ability to make me laugh when I least expect it.  Brian is active and enjoys golf and playing basketball.  He also plays the guitar.  I especially love when I hear a new song that I like and he learns to play it for me!

Brian is a successful manager at a large oilfield services company.   He is ambitious, intelligent, and dedicated to providing for our family.  He will be an outstanding father! 

Our Home
We live in a four bedroom house in a newer community in a suburb of Texas. Access to parks and recreation abound in our quiet and safe neighborhood that frequently hosts various activities for young and active families.  In addition to parks, the neighborhood has a private community pool and playground.

Our Faith   
We are both Christians and strongly believe in Christian values.  We are committed to raising our child with a strong foundation of faith, morals, and values.  We will encourage and help our child develop a personal relationship with God and hope to lead by example.  We believe that unconditional love and providing the opportunity to know God and have a relationship with Him are the two greatest gifts we can give our child. 

Our Family
We are both very close to our families and fortunate that both of our parents live in the same town as we do.  They are all eagerly awaiting becoming first-time grandparents!  We also both have sisters and extended family living nearby who are excited about welcoming a new member to the family with open arms!

We promise to provide your child with a loving, happy, safe, and fulfilling life. We will encourage your child to pursue their dreams and give them every possible opportunity to achieve their goals. As parents, we promise to instill strong Christian values, the importance of education, and compassion for others.  We will ensure that our commitment to family and faith is demonstrated on a daily basis through our attitudes and actions.
