Dear Birthmother,

We have always dreamed of having a family and can’t wait to be first-time parents. We have a wonderful life filled with friends, family and faith which we would love to share with your child. After years of dealing with infertility we have decided to begin the journey of adoption.

Both of us work from home so it will allow for a lot flexibility and family time.  We will both be there every day for your child.  We are anticipating the joy of welcoming a child into our hearts and home and we understand that you are looking for just the right family to love and raise your child.

About Us…
We met on a ski club outing through the high school.  We knew instantly that our relationship was special and we are excited to celebrate our 13th anniversary this year.
                       
We absolutely love traveling, especially with family and friends. We love to be around the people who helped make us the people we are. We’ve taken several cruises, and have been to Disney World. We enjoy camping in the summer every chance we get. We had always dreamed of raising a family and when we faced infertility we found other ways to share our parenting instincts and gifts.  We were foster parents for some time, but now are ready to adopt a child and share memories as a “forever family.”  We are excited about adopting our first child!

Meet Alicia…
Alicia is intelligent, thoughtful, kind and loving. She is my best friend. Alicia loves with her whole heart and puts others before herself. She is devoted to God and to me. She has always wanted to be a mother and is excited about the addition of a child in our lives.

Alicia loves camping, entertaining family, scrapbooking, cleaning, baking, reading and hanging out with friends and family.  She loves vacationing in Florida and walking the beaches looking for seashells. In the summer she can often be found lounging in the pool reading a book. She is so attentive and thoughtful, which I think will make her a great mom.

Meet Burt…
Burt has such a strong work ethic and because of it, we have all that we have. Burt sets goals for himself in work and faith. He works hard and he plays hard. Burt enjoys bowling, golfing, hunting, lawn mowing, and light construction work. He also enjoys reading, Sudoku puzzles, board games and playing cards.

Burt is the second oldest of nine children. He has six brothers and two sisters. Babies seem to be drawn to Burt. He is always able to make babies smile and soothe them when they are upset. Burt is a great husband and friend. He loves wholeheartedly. He will make a wonderful father, a great teacher and role model for our kids.

Our Home…
We live in a small town in northern Pennsylvania. Our parents live nearby and we spend a lot of time with both families. Our house is a two story home located less than a mile from our town and park. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have almost six acres of property and a little over half of that is yard and the other part is wooded with a small stream. We enjoy watching the wildlife cross our yard. We have seen many turkey and deer.

Our Family…
Family is very important to both of us. We love spending time together, whether it is on vacation or at home in the family room or backyard.

Our family is very supportive of our decision to grow our family through adoption. They are anxious to be grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

We believe that becoming parents will be a blessing. We pray for you and your child. We are ready emotionally, spiritually, and financially to take on the responsibility of being great parents. We promise to teach your child what unconditional love is all about. We are looking forward to raising a family and would be honored to share our lives with your child.
