Adoptive Parents, Charley & Kim

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for allowing us to introduce ourselves. We are Charley and Kim and we have been married for more than nine years. Adoption has always been in Kim's heart, as she is also adopted. Discovering we are infertile has only confirmed that this is God's plan for us. It is our desire to give a child all of the love and opportunities that we have been blessed with. We are both Christians and we plan to raise our child according to the Word of God.

Kim's Thoughts on Charley
Charley is a kind, thoughtful, intelligent and quiet man. He is often the "strong, silent type," but when he speaks, people listen. Friends often come to him for advice.
Charley loves sports!

Charley is the rock I lean on and we are a great balance for each other. He is a career military officer whose job has allowed us to live in some wonderful places and to make friends all over the world. Charley has a Bachelor's in Political Science and a Master's in Strategic Intelligence. Education is very important and we have already started a college fund. He has a great love of all things sports related! I think he will be a great dad, giving of himself selflessly and providing guidance.

Charley's Thoughts on Kim
Kim is a fun-loving, generous, beautiful woKim loves to knit.man. She enjoys a wide range of friends from all walks of life. Kim is a very active knitter, making things for friends and family. She has already made several pieces for the baby's room. Additionally, Kim volunteers with a dog rescue group and gets great joy in seeing so many dogs given a new chance at life. She has a bachelors degree in marketing, and works as an executive assistant. She is currently using these skills to start her own home business, and is planning to work from home after the baby arrives.

Our Hobbies
Charley and Kim with their dogs.We enjoy spending time together going to movies, taking a vacation, cooking or just reading. One of our pastimes is going to baseball games. We go to Major League games several times a year, as Charley is an avid Red Sox fan. We also love just being at home and working in our yard or playing fetch with our three dogs; Calvin is a nine-year-old mix, Annabelle is an eight-year-old Great Pyrenees and Baxter is a two-year-old Great Pyrenees. All three were rescued from shelters as puppies. They love children; Calvin looks forward to having someone play fetch with him and Baxter can't wait to snuggle.

Charley's Family
Charley's family consists of his mom, dad and one sister, as well as a large amount of aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends. His family is rich in tradition, including a family vacation to the beach each summer. They look forward to sharing these traditions with their first grandchild. Charley's mom and sister are both teachers and place a high importance on education.

Kim's Family
Her parents adopted Kim when she was just six weeks old and raised her as an only child. Her family has many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as close friends. Her mom passed away 14 years ago and her dad is now remarried to a wonderful woman. They are already "Mimi and Papa" to three grandchildren and can't wait for a fourth to arrive!

Home in Texas.Our Home
We live in Texas, in a city rich in culture and history. Our city has a zoo, amusement parks and museums, and places a great emphasis on families. We have many lovely recreation areas and parks. Our home is two stories with four bedrooms, three baths, a playroom and a large backyard. We chose our home with children in mind. Our neighborhood has mostly new homes and families of all ages. The streets are perfect for riding bikes, playing ball, or just gathering with neighbors. We have become close friends with many of our neighbors.

Our Promise
Charley and Kim are so excited to adopt! We pray daily for our birthmother, for your well being, for a support system to surround you with love, and for God's peace over you as you make this decision. Even as a little girl, Kim knew how much love went into her birthmother's decision and the story behind her adoption. We intend to teach the very same to our child. We will make sure your child always knows you chose adoption out of love.
