Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for reading our story and allowing us to introduce you to our family.
Our home is filled with music, laughter, prayer, imagination, and lots of fun. We are committed to raising our children with Christian values and providing a home full of love, acceptance, and encouragement. Alyssa is a stay at home mom who speaks both Spanish and English, and makes it her priority to create a lively environment for learning and growing. Charlie is a dad who not only does fun activities with his children, but desires a deep relationship with them. We know that God is the one who brings families together and we pray that He will lead you to know if our family is right for your baby. Con todo el corazón, Charlie & Alyssa.
Our Life Together
We met one night at our church and became immediate friends. Over the last six years we have built a strong foundation of trust, friendship, love, honesty and a lot of communication. We are deeply committed to one another and to our faith in God.
Just as God brought us together as a couple, we knew that He would lead us as we grew our family. Adoption was on our hearts soon after we were married, and God brought us our son, Matias from Guatemala. A few years later, we became pregnant with our daughter Gracielle. We all look forward to a special brother or sister that is to come!
About Charlie
My husband, Charlie, is my best friend. He has a fun-loving personality with a great sense of humor. I love how he always knows how to make me laugh and how to listen and respond to my heart.
Charlie is a wonderful father who always makes his family a priority. He is a precision engineer and has worked for the same company for nine years. He enjoys being outdoors and planning fun adventures for our family.
About Alyssa
Alyssa sees life from its bright side and enjoys spending time with people She loves to sing, dance and live life to its fullest. As a mother, she is patient, enthusiastic and creative. Before adopting Matias, she worked for six years as a high school Spanish teacher and now is excited to be able to share her love for the Spanish language and culture with our children. I admire her desire to raise our children bilingually and am learning lots of Spanish myself as I watch her and Matias interact together.
Our Family and Friends
Both of us grew up in strong Christian homes, and we are so blessed that our children will have Grandparents who will be examples of Christian faith to them. Alyssa’s parents live in Iowa, only three hours from us. They love spoiling their grandchildren and teaching them new things. We see them often and they are an important part of our lives. Charlie’s parents live in Montana, and we see them and his four siblings at least twice a year for extended visits. Our Montana visits usually include horseback riding, hiking in the nearby mountains, rock climbing, and lots of family dinners and fun.
Our Home
We live within walking distance of a beautiful lake, parks, playgrounds and community center. We also live near a metropolitan area, which has many museums, cultural opportunities, and of course lots of lakes! Our house is a beautiful five bedroom home with a large backyard. We have wonderful neighbors that have children of similar ages who enjoy playing together.
Our Promise to You
We promise to be loving, available, and encouraging parents. We will provide a home that is secure, warm, and full of laughter and joy. We also want to give our children the opportunity to develop whatever gifts God has given them by giving them the best education available. Our children will feel free to share their hopes, dreams, fears—anything that is on their hearts. We will always be a listening ear and available to guide them with unconditional love, patience, grace and Biblical principles.
We feel that open and honest communication is important and want to celebrate our children’s heritage and the special way God brought them into our lives. You would always be a valued member of our family, and we would welcome whatever future contact you wish.
