Providing the Support You Need In Choosing Your Child's Future Help and Support for Pregnant Women

Adoptive parents, Chris and Gail

Dear Birthmother,

We decided to start trying to build a family a month after we got married. Within 4 years we went through several fertility treatments, and were pregnant twice. However, both pregnancies ended with premature delivery in Gail's second trimester, and the babies did not survive. The same year as our second pregnancy loss, we were honored to be chosen by Will's birth parents to adopt him. Adopting our son has been a joy we are grateful for each day. We know adoption is what God had in mind for our family and we are looking forward to growing our family through adoption.

We have been married for 8 years and each year our relationship grows stronger. We enjoy vacationing, visiting with friends and relatives, seeing movies and dining out together as both a couple and a family.

Home in MississippiOur Home and Neighborhood
We live in Mississippi in a new four bedroom home. There are lots of young families in our neighborhood. We have a big backyard that we are currently landscaping and have a new play set for the kids to play on. We already have a room designated for the nursery. It is next to our bedroom so that he or she will be close to us. Two new schools were built in 2005 just down the road from our neighborhood and are some of the best in the state.

Gail working from homeAll About Gail
Gail is a loving, caring wife and mother. Gail values faith, family and friendship the most in life. She is not only my wife but my best friend. From the first time we met I could tell she was a patient and kind person. It amazes me that she can still make me smile even when I have a bad day.

Gail loves to scrapbook, read, travel and shop for her family and home. We often spend Saturdays together as a family. Gail is great with children and spends a lot of time with my nephews and niece as well as our son Will. Gail has been a nurse for more than 11 years in various specialties including pediatrics. She is currently working in public health and finds this area of service to be very rewarding. Her position there also has flexible working hours to allow her more time to spend with her family.

Chris working on a home improvement projectAbout Chris
Chris is a very attentive dad and works hard to provide for his family. He enjoys computers, movies, reading, music, and traveling. He loves being a father and doing anything with Will, from going to the park to washing the truck or playing at home. Chris is a very loving husband and father and shows his affection for his family every chance he gets.

Chris has a Bachelor's degree and has worked in transportation for 15 years. Chris has time off during the week, and he looks forward to being home with our new baby after we adopt.

Will can't wait to be a big brother! All About Will
Will is a bright, very energetic, loving and friendly four year old who can't wait to be a big brother! If we are out and about, every baby he sees he addresses as the baby sister!

He goes to preschool during the week, where he has lots of friends to play with. He also enjoys karate and football outside of school hours.

Our Extended Family
Both of our families have shown tremendous support of our decision to adopt again. We have three nephews and a niece that we are very involved with and close to, and Will is very close with his cousins. Our families are thrilled about having a new baby to love.

Our Faith
We attend a large Southern Baptist church that has an awesome family and children's program. Will loves to go to Sunday school; our church has many activities for children of all ages.

Chris and Gail are excited to adopt again! Our Commitment to You
We look forward to learning what your hopes are for your child's adoption. Will's adoption is an open adoption. We send photos to his birth mom and birth dad every time we have pictures taken of him. Adoption is not a secret in our home and we will share with your child his or her special adoption story and raise your child with values and all our love.

We thank you for taking the time to read our letter and pray that God leads you to the right family for you and your baby.
