Dear Birthmother,

Hello! Our names are Chris and Terri. We truly love being parents, and we are so excited about adopting again. We want to thank you for taking the time to see if we fit what you’re looking for in a family.

About Us
We’ve been together for over 20 years and have a very stable and loving marriage. Our commitment to each other comes from our strong faith in God. We have two sons, Sterling and Aiden. We were blessed to adopt Aiden almost three years ago and have the benefit of an open adoption with his birthparents.

We enjoy being a very active family and have fun doing things together. Fridays are usually pizza and movie night. We hang out in the back yard in the evenings a lot during the summer months. We have fun throwing a football, playing on the trampoline, or on the swing. We enjoy playing tennis together as well, and live less than five minutes from a lake and tennis courts. We go to the lake every summer to water ski and kneeboard. In the winter, we love to build a fire and play board games and pop popcorn. Also, we like building a snowman and playing in the snow, followed by a warm cup of hot chocolate.

About My Wife, Terri
Terri is a very sweet, loving, and patient person. But one of her strongest attributes is that she is very even-tempered. This enables her to get along very well with others and especially children. She has a very strong relationship with the Lord and she prays every night with our children.

She likes to spend time outdoors playing tennis or just walking around the mountain at the state park. She loves playing the piano in our home and is also an artist that likes to paint and draw.

My Husband, Chris
Chris is a wonderful person; I feel privileged to be married to him. Before we had children, I knew he would be a wonderful father. He was always the favorite uncle among our nieces and nephews. Chris is very adventurous and fun-loving. He loves sports, especially water skiing and hang gliding, and enjoys playing as much as any kid. He grew up in his family jewelry business and is now a jewelry designer marketing his own lines. He loves spending time with his family and usually starts playing or doing something with Sterling or Aiden the minute he walks in the door.

Our Children
Sterling is fifteen years old. He is easy-going, witty, and an excellent student. He is a wonderful big brother and was so proud when we adopted Aiden. Sterling plays chase and hide-and-seek with Aiden and they have a good relationship. Sterling plays tennis on the school tennis team and snare drum in the High School band. He loves comedy in all forms. He loves to draw and hopes to become a cartoonist or animator after finishing college.

Aiden has a lot of personality and has never met a stranger. He loves to play with other kids and to have friends over to our house. He absolutely loves the outdoors, playing in the sprinkler, pretending to cook with dirt and rocks, or playing on his swings. He likes us to read him books and play play-dough with him. Also, he loves to give hugs and kisses and to be prayed for at bedtime.

Our Home
We live in a small Texas town on nine acres of land. Our home is on a quiet street in a rural area only minutes from town. We have a four bedroom, three bath, two-story home. Our yard has a trampoline, a fort with a slide and swings, a basketball goal, and lots of room to play.

Our Faith
Our relationship with the Lord is the most important thing in our lives. We attend a non-denominational church regularly. Also, Terri teaches a ladies Bible study in our home.

Our faith is an important and vital part of our parenting. We want our children to be raised knowing God and having a spiritual foundation for their lives.
