Hi, we are Curt and Margey, and we are touched that you are taking the time to consider us and honored to introduce you to our family.  We are excited to share a life full of love, laughter and security with your child.

About Us
We both feel lucky to say that we married our best friend.  We have been married for over six years and share our lives with our wonderful children, Parker and Charlie.  Adoption has already enriched our lives beyond measure as we adopted Charlie in 2005.  There is nothing we want more than to open our hearts and home to a new baby.

About Margey, by Curt
My wife has the kind of smile that lights up an entire room. It is impossible to stay in a bad mood around her.  She is happiest when at home with the kids and family.  My wife was born to be a “mommy” and her relationship with our boys is wonderful.  She is a domestic relations attorney and owns a law firm which gives her a flexible schedule and allows her to spend lots of time with Charlie. 

I will never get tired of watching her hold and comfort Charlie.  Those moments are magical and beautiful.  Margey is sincere, loving, witty and intelligent.  She is the perfect blend of responsible adult and wacky kid.  She loves to read, travel, cook, and go hiking with the dogs.  She has the biggest heart of anyone I know.

About Curt, by Margey
My husband has beautiful blue eyes and gives enormous bear hugs.  I have watched him bring love, laughter and joy to our children.  His heart is big enough to share all of that with a new baby.  Curt believes that his most important job in life is being a good father and his interactions with the boys demonstrate his devotion to this job.  Curt currently works in the public interest sector and enjoys his career. 

He is very involved with the boys’ activities including coaching Parker’s hockey teams and taking karate lessons with Charlie.  Curt likes to read, play video games, go to the gym and hang out with his family.  In the summer, he likes to fish, go camping, hike with the dogs and grill just about anything. 

About Our Children
Parker is a wonderful and engaging teenager.  He is currently a senior in high school and will be going to college in the fall and playing football.  Parker is an excellent student, loves to work out and is an excellent hockey and football player.  Parker is compassionate and adores his baby brother.  He is excited to welcome another baby into the family!

Charlie is a very outgoing, intelligent and creative little boy.  He loves karate, soccer, hockey and football and is very athletically inclined.  He is very excited about having a little brother or sister.  We consider Charlie to be our first miracle and thank his birthmother every day for the amazing gift she gave our family.

Our Home and Community
We live in Alaska! We have a comfortable four-bedroom home with a dedicated playroom and a fantastic backyard. We share our home with three wonderful dogs – Cody, Bella and Brisco.  In Alaska, we have northern lights, moose wandering through the neighborhood, a white Christmas every year, hiking, camping and fishing, and tons of sunlight in the summer! We live close to the mountains and the water.  The school system is excellent and extra-curricular activities are plentiful.

Our Extended Families
We are very lucky to be from close families.  Margey’s mom lives right down the street and is so excited to be a new grandmother again! Our families are geographically spread out but we get together as frequently as we can, including at least one annual trip to Disneyworld!

Our Promise
We pledge to raise your child in a happy home full of love, support and security.  We promise to give your baby a life full of wonder, faith, fun and the best possible education.  We are committed to each other and to raising happy and healthy children.  If you like, we would be willing to keep you updated with letters and photos.  We have an open adoption with Charlie’s birthmother and treasure our relationship with her.
