We are a young, loving, and active Christian family who enjoys summers on our boat and winters sledding in the snow. We promise your baby love, protection, a proud big brother, a stay-at-home mom, a very involved father, and a life full of wonderful opportunities. About Us:
We met on a blind date set up by Kate’s family. We knew we had something special very early on in our relationship, and it truly was love at first sight. We were married right after Dan graduated college, and just celebrated our eighth anniversary. We were blessed to adopt our son, Carter, from Guatemala four years ago. We are a very active family and enjoy water sports, hiking, traveling, and try to find activities that we can all do together.

My Wife:
Kate has always wanted to be a mother. Children have been drawn to her for her kindness and compassion. She is a very active and enjoys swimming, snow skiing, waterskiing and cooking. She loves being a stay-at-home mom, although she does anything but stay at home. You will usually find her and our son at the park, library, play dates with friends or the swimming pool. Nurturing our son and our family is her number one priority. Kate has a very kind and generous spirit; always helping family or friends whenever she can. She is so excited to share her life with another child.

My Husband:
One of the first things that I loved about Dan was his love for his nieces. I knew he was the partner I was looking for. Family always comes first to Dan. His great amount of patience makes people feel so comfortable around him. Dan enjoys rock climbing, wakeboarding on our boat and “boys night out” with our son. One of his favorite parts of the day is he walks in the door and our son runs yelling at the top of his lungs “daddy’s home!” to celebrate that our family is all together. Dan and Carter have such an amazing bond with each other that I know he looks forward to sharing with another child.

Our Son, Carter
We were blessed to adopt Carter from Guatemala when he was six months old. Carter is a very happy, active, and on-the-go little boy. He loves riding bikes, playing race cars, swimming and waterskiing. Our adoption experience was absolutely one of the best times of our lives. Not only do we have a beautiful little boy, we now have added an entirely new culture to our family. He is so excited to become a big brother.

Our Faith:
We are a solid, Bible believing Christian family. We truly believe adoption is a gift from God. We regularly attend a church that has many wonderful activities for our family. Our son enjoys Sunday school and just completed his first year in vacation Bible school.

Our Home:
We live in a close knit suburban neighborhood in central Pennsylvania. Our home is a two story contemporary home with four bedrooms, with a special pink and green bedroom picked out for our new baby. Our community is very safe, and close to many parks, swimming pools and a lake where we like to take our boat out during the summer. We have beautiful weather where we get to experience and enjoy all of the four seasons.

Our Friends and Family:
Almost all of our family and friends live within driving distance of our home, which allows us to have very close relationships with all of them. They were so supportive of our adoption plans with our son, and they cannot wait to welcome a new member to our family.
