Dear Birthmother,

Hello, we are Darwin and Kristin! We fell in love nine years ago and have been living happily ever after ever since! We’re a young, active couple, and we can’t wait to share our love and our lives with a child! We’ve had infertility issues in trying to start our family, but we’ve enjoyed this time together, trusting that one day we would become parents through adoption. We’re so excited about the adventure of being parents for the first time!

About Us
We love being together – taking walks with the dogs around the neighborhood, cooking dinner together, ballroom dancing, dressing up for Halloween, and working on our house.

Our favorite way to relax is travelling together. The best part is sharing adventures, getting lost and laughing about it! There are so many interesting places left to see around the world, and we can’t wait to discover them with your child.

We can offer your child a loving, supportive home in which to become whoever he or she wants to be. We value education and will read to your child every day!

About Darwin
Darwin always knows how to make me smile. He is the most easygoing and generous person I know, and he’s always the first to volunteer to help anyone in need.

Darwin’s very handy – he knows how to fix almost anything! He loves being outdoors - fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle, maintaining our yard, and working on cars and small engines. He comes from a musical family, so he has been singing and playing bluegrass and gospel music all his life.

Darwin looks forward to passing on skills he learned from his own dad to your child. He’ll be a very involved father and share in all the care-giving responsibilities as well as play time!

About Kristin
Kristin makes me feel like I can do anything, and she always knows the right thing to say to our nieces and nephews to make them feel loved. She likes to venture off the beaten path and will encourage your child to be creative and express him or herself.

Kristin’s favorite hobbies are photography and scrapbooking. She also loves painting, working out in our home gym, and learning about other languages and cultures – anything where she can try something new! She looks forward to sharing these things with a child, along with going to see musicals at the theater, playing dress-up and reading – she’s  already building a collection of children’s’ books!

Kristin is a web designer for an online costume shop, so she works from home and has flexible hours to accommodate our family.

Our Family
We have a large, close-knit family, who are all eager to welcome a new child!

Darwin is very close to his brother and sister and his parents. About once a month we go over to their house for Sunday dinner, and Grandmother cooks up some of her famous Southern food. Our five young nieces and nephews are so excited about having a new cousin to play with.

Your child would be the first grandchild on Kristin’s side and would be showered with attention! Kristin’s younger sister and parents are already asking to babysit as often as possible! 

Our Home
We live in a four-bedroom white Victorian house in a small, friendly Alabama town.  We’ve done a lot of work on our house, and though it’s still not perfect, the imperfections are part of the charm! It has plenty of open space for kids to run around – and a big yard, too, with lots of flowering trees.

There’s also a playground right across the street! We share our home with four pets – two dogs and two cats.

Our goal is to raise your child to be compassionate, considerate and open-minded.

We’re flexible about what style of adoption we have. We are open to letters, photos and visits, but if you would prefer a less open adoption, that is okay with us, too - whatever will make you most comfortable and feel the most at peace. Either way, we will always teach your child about how we became a family through adoption and how special you are to us.
