Adoptive parents, Julie and David

Dear Birthmother,

We are filled with joy and anticipation as we prepare to welcome our first child through the amazing miracle of adoption.  Our lives are spilling over with love, laughter, fun, learning and adventure.  A child in our family will be blessed with those wonderful things.  We will joyfully share letters, pictures and visits with you over the years if you desire.  We are so grateful that you would consider us as a family to love and raise your child.

The Adventure of Our Lives...
Julie and David enjoying a game of basketballWe know that our marriage is God’s great gift to us and we believe that His mission for us is that we would serve Him together.  Because of that, we always feel like we are on an adventure with Him.  We have enjoyed some amazing experiences as we serve together at our non-denominational Christian church.  We have taken high school kids to camp in the mountains of Colorado and traveled with sixty children for summer camp in Texas.  We have been on mission trips to Mississippi, Mexico and Nicaragua.

But adventure isn’t just for the road – most of our real adventure happens at home!  We love to spend time together working on our house and yard.  We enjoy working out at our local gym.  We are both sports fans and love to play and watch sports, especially football.  We also love to snow ski and go on vacation. We laugh together every day and love just spending time with each other.

We have always hoped for a large family.  We have not been able to have a child biologically and we are thrilled that our firstborn will be a baby that is so uniquely placed in our hands.

Julie is the most caring person I know.  She has a true heart that seeks to love and honor her creator by giving Him her best each day.

She is very patient, humble, and compassionate, which is why I know she will make a wonderful mother.  I know that some lucky child will be blessed to call her mom.

One of the reasons I know that God wants us to adopt a child now is that she is so gifted in handling children.  She has a fantastic relationship with our family.  People everywhere talk about what an amazing woman she is and I definitely agree.

David is by far the most amazing picture of God’s love and grace that I have ever known.  He is an amazing friend, a constant encourager and a great leader.  He has a tenderness that I treasure and yet he is so strong and fun.  His heart for God and for sharing God’s love often overwhelms and always challenges me.

My favorite thing to do is watch David loving on the people that work for him at the grocery store he runs.  David loves children and teenagers.  He teaches the three year old class at our church and you can often hear kids coming down the hallway at church exclaiming, “I hope Mr. David is there today!”  David’s love for others is evident in everything he does.

We live in Texas and our spacious three bedroom home is in a great neighborhood.  We have awesome weather and we love walking our small dog, Jackson, in our neighborhood.  Our neighborhood is full of families and young children and we are a block from one of the best elementary schools in Texas.  We also have amazing parks in our neighborhood that have huge playground structures and fun, kid-friendly pools.  We love to spend lots of fun time with our families, who mostly live in Texas.  Our parents all love to visit and are eagerly awaiting a new grandchild to love.

David and Julie are excited to adopt! Our Hope...
We know that God has a great plan for every life.  We will love our child unconditionally and will show them the grace that God has shown to both of us.  We will encourage our child through education and experiences to become all that God has created him or her to be.  We will give all we have to our child and we hope that you will know the amazing gift that you are giving and that we will always hold you in our hearts.
