Dear Birthmother,
Thank you for taking a moment to learn about us, our lives, and the deep desire we have to share our love with a child. As you thoughtfully consider who will become your baby’s adoptive parents, we want to assure you of our commitment to raise your child in a home filled with love and laughter, founded in strong faith and values.
About Us
It’s a classic love story. Girl meets boy at a baseball game in his hometown, girl and boy fall in love and get married. That was twelve years ago and we have grown to love one another more and more with each passing day. And as our bond to one another has grown over the years we have both begun to feel a deep desire to share that love with a son or daughter.
About David
I have observed many character traits, which I am confident will make Dave a terrific father. He is patient and always willing to lend a helping hand to friends and family, his laughter is so contagious that just hearing it can change a bad day into a good one.
My husband has been a technician for the regional telephone company for 11 years. As our child grows into adulthood, he or she will witness their father’s example of a strong work ethic while at the same time balancing this job with what he hopes soon to be his primary career, being a dad.
Dave’s love of the outdoors will provide a child with lots of activities that will educate and entertain. From golf, hunting, snowmobiling and camping, Dave will provide countless hours of memory making adventures to treasure.
About Valarie
Valarie has a wonderful ability to nurture. As a dental assistant who works mostly with children, her gentle words of encouragement and bright smile put her patience at ease. Children sense Valarie’s joyful demeanor and are drawn to her, somehow knowing that, in a room full of people, she is the one person who is willing to listen to a child’s stories or play a game with them.
Valarie enjoys spending time going camping, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, or simply going for a walk in the woods.
I know Valarie is ready to be the best mom she can be and our child will grow to be the best person that God has intended.
Our Families
Family is the foundation of our lives. It is built on the loving support and incredible example our parents have blessed us with. We are very involved in the lives and numerous activities of our nieces and nephews and a child would experience a rich tapestry of family traditions surrounded by many cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Brought into our lives through the foreign exchange program, we hosted two teenage girls (Mona is Egyptian and Mari is Finnish) who became as special to us as family. We often call them “our girls” and we talk with them weekly and maintain our close connection regardless of the thousand of miles which now separate us.
Jozie Mae, our English springer spaniel has a very gentle demeanor and is wonderful with family, friends and children. She is also a very important member of our family!
Our Home
Our recently-built home is nestled on 60 acres of meadowland surrounded by towering oak trees in Minnesota. With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen, our child will have lots of room to play. Not only will our house provide our child safety, comfort and shelter, from our child’s bedroom window she or he will be able to watch a doe and her fawns stop for a snack in the garden or witness the geese stopping for a rest in late autumn.
Our home is located close to one of Minnesota’s most progressive small towns. It is a safe community with excellent schools and a significant number of activities usually only found in much larger communities. The town has several young families with small children so our child/children will have the opportunity to build many friendships with kids their own age.
Our Promise
We pledge to provide our child: love without conditions, patient instruction and encouragement, lots of laughter, a sense of belonging and purpose, and a house that is more than just four walls, but is first and foremost a home.
