Dear Birthmother,

We met in third grade and started dating in college.  We have been married for nine years. We enjoy being involved in our church, date nights, traveling, camping, hiking, swimming, biking, and being around family and friends. 

Our faith is a focal point in our home and our involvement in our church is part of our family life.

We have been blessed with two children, Isabel and Ethan. Because of infertility after Ethan’s birth, and because of our long time desire to adopt, we have embraced God’s calling to adoption. 

About Dennis by Tami
Dennis is a strong, amazing Christian man.   As a husband Dennis is tender, considerate, and a romantic. As a father, Dennis is patient and kind with the children.  He loves to play with the kids. 

He currently works as a Naval Intelligence Officer. It is a good stable job. Dennis is also currently working on his master’s degree which he will finish this year. Dennis enjoys running, hiking, biking and kayaking.  He does a great job of including the family in the activities he enjoys.

About Tami by Dennis
Tami is a godly wife and mother. Her passion is in planning, nurturing and developing our family! As a military wife she has always been supportive and energetic with each adventure we face.  Her faith and passion for Christ is evident to all and a bedrock for the family. 

Tami earned her degree in Elementary Education and taught for a couple years. She now cherishes the time she spends with our children as a stay-at-home mom.

Tami loves reading, going on long walks, baking scrapbooking, sewing and traveling. Tami makes her family and home a priority and I look forward to raising another child with her.

Our Children:
We love being parents.  Isabel, our six-year-old daughter, is enjoying first grade and loves to sing, dance, play with her little brother and cook in the kitchen with mommy. She is sensitive and kind towards others.  She is very excited about our plans to adopt.

Ethan, our three-year-old son, is an active little boy who loves to run, jump, and swim. He likes to make us all laugh.  Ethan loves playing with his big sister as well as with any transportation toy.  He enjoys being read to and is sensitive to the needs of others.  He will make a great big brother.

We believe quality time with our children is important and we value the opportunity to home school our children.

Our Families:
Our families are all supportive of our plans to adopt and can’t wait to love another child as part of the family.  We keep in touch with our families by phone and video chats on a regular basis, since they live out of state. We see each of them several times a year when they visit us, or when we travel to visit them.

Dennis’s sister was adopted and she is a special auntie and loves being with the kids.  We appreciate the perspective she offers as we prepare for the child we hope to adopt.
           
Our House:
We are blessed to live in Hawaii.  Every day we enjoy God’s creation as we look at the ocean, walk by the palm trees, and watch amazing sunsets. 

We live in military base housing in a new two-story house with three bedrooms, and a great open floor plan. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with a great playground across the street and wonderful open spaces perfect for riding bikes or going for family walks. Our home is centrally located allowing us to enjoy city life, beaches, and the mountains without having to travel more than 45 minutes.
