| Our Special Interests |
We love doing things as a family and are very active! Sometimes this means playing tennis, taking golf lessons, going bowling, seeing a movie, going to the theater, playing at the local park, hiking, attending a sporting event or traveling for a mini vacation or to visit family. Other times it is spending quiet afternoons at home together watching movies or playing games. We also take individual time to do things we enjoy. Deon plays basketball and video games while Cheryl kayaks, scrapbooks, reads, and runs. We are very active in our church and attend services weekly as well as find ways to serve in different ministries. We both regularly attend a small group Bible study. |

We are Christ followers who are members of a non-denominational church. We base our values on God’s Word and will raise our children with Christian values. |

Although we both enjoy a variety of music, we mainly listen to R & B, Contemporary Christian and gospel. |
| About Our Home |
We have a cozy, comfortable two story house in a residential neighborhood that is ready for more children! Our home is four bedrooms, two and a half baths and includes a living room, dining room, recreation room and large kitchen. We have plenty of space for playing either indoors or outdoors. |
| Our Children |
Our son, Jalen Isaiah, was adopted in 2007 and is now 21 months old. He is a thoughtful, gentle, outgoing and loving boy! One of his favorite things is making new friends wherever we go. He loves to play and has a contagious laugh and dancing eyes. He enjoys sports, reading, playing with the family dog, and trying new things. He is going to be an incredible big brother! |

Our neighborhood is safe, diverse, and full of families with children. There are always kids outside playing and our neighbors are friendly and welcoming. We are surrounded by parks, libraries, zoos, museums, trails, recreation facilities and wonderful schools. We are centrally located and can reach the ocean, mountains or other states within a few hours for some family fun. |
