Dear Birthmother,

We are so pleased to have the opportunity to share with you our life, our commitment and our family. We are a young happily married couple who loves life. We are so excited about building our family through adoption.

About Us
We met a little over four years ago and have been inseparable ever since. We are best friends and are deeply in love with each other. Our marriage is built on trust, communication, love and respect. Together we enjoy taking our dogs for walks, working on home projects or a quiet evening of board games.

We also love to travel. Most recently we have been to Monterey, Oregon, and one of our favorite trips was driving up the coast of California. We enjoyed all the sites and quaint little towns along the way. We just enjoy being together.

After being told that we could not have our own biological children we decided to skip modern medical treatments and start a family through the miracle of adoption.

My Wife, Lori
Lori is not only my wife, she is my best friend. She is the most loving and caring person I know. She always thinks about others and puts their needs first. She continues to amaze me with her organization skills.

Lori is a youth advisor at the Juvenile Detention Center. She is passionate about her job and goes out of her way to help the kids. Working in the yard, reading and scrap booking are just a few of her interests. She also likes to cook and bake. I must admit she is quite good at it!!!

Lori’s lifetime dream is to become a mother. I see how nurturing, patient and loving she is with children. I know your child will receive the very best of her.

My Husband, Derric
Derric is the love of my life and a wonderful husband. He is a strong man with a sweet and gentle heart. I was drawn to his easygoing even temperament and his incredible sense of humor. He can always make me laugh.

Derric is a heavy equipment mechanic and loves his job. He always goes above and beyond to do the best job he can. Derric enjoys working on cars and home improvement projects and take them on with enthusiasm. I admire the perfectionist with in him.

Derric is a kid at heart, he loves to play. He has so many wonderful qualities to offer a child. I just know he will be an amazing father.

Our Home and Our Pets
We call Northern Nevada home. We live in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We have several parks and walking paths close by and we are a short drive away from beautiful mountains and lakes. Our home is a spacious two bedroom, two bathroom. The yard is fenced with lots of trees, flowers and plenty of room to play.

We share our home with our three dogs Holly, Simon and Milo. They may be small but they are big in heart and personality. They are well mannered and love to play with kids.

Our Families
Lori’s parents, Jim and LeAnne are very involved in our niece’s lives and they anxiously wait a new grand baby. “Papa” considers it an honor to build a dresser for each grand baby. He has already started working on one for our new baby. “Dah” shares her talent of quilting and has made each member of the family their own quilt. She has already picked out the pattern for the newest addition.

We see Derric’s dad, Larry and his step mom Seren several times a year. We enjoy celebrating holidays and birthdays together. We speak to Derric’s mom, Elaine every week and see her a few times a year.

Our families are very supportive in our desire to adopt. They are anxious to welcome our baby with open arms and hearts.

Our Promise
