Adoptive parents, Marcie and Ed

Dear Birthmother,

We are very excited to become first-time parents together through adoption.  We have built a strong, stable and loving relationship.  We promise to provide a life filled with laughter, happiness and most of all love! We look forward to having the chance to get to know you and your dreams for your child.

Our Story
Ed and Marcie having fun playing basketballWe met ten years ago and there was an instant connection.  We are best friends before anything else and are always there for one another.  Family has always been one of the focuses of our relationship. We started trying to have children right after we were married. We have spent the past five years exploring all of our options including fertility treatments to try and have a child but have grown to realize that God has another plan for us and adoption is the way.

Marcie is my best friend and the love of my life.  She has so many great qualities about her; she is caring, loving, intelligent and thoughtful.  But I would have to say the most amazing characteristic is her love for children.  She grew up in a family where her mother had a daycare in their home and she was always surrounded by children.  She learned at a young age how to care for them and the happiness that they bring.

Marcie works for an oil and gas corporation as an executive assistant so she knows how to be attentive to others.  Marcie loves being with her friends and family. She also loves to entertain and enjoys having everyone over for a barbeque and to swim.

She is a great wife, daughter and friend and I know in my heart that she is going to be an amazing mother.

Ed is my best friend, a great provider and a loving and caring husband.  He is a great listener and is always ready to help!  Ed has an amazing smile and laugh; he lights up a room whenever he walks in.

Ed works a train engineer for a local railroad.  He is a great role model and somebody I really look up to.  He works hard for everything he has and cherishes every thing he has been blessed with in his life.

Some of the things Ed enjoys include reading, watching his favorite baseball team, the Cardinals, riding his bike or taking our two dogs for walks around our neighborhood. Ed is an awesome uncle and is great with kids!  I know he will make an incredible father!

Ed and Marcie's home in TexasOur Home
We live in the great state of Texas and absolutely love our house and our neighborhood!  We have a spacious two story house with four bedrooms and a game room.  We are excited to get the nursery started in preparation of the new arrival!

We have a large kitchen where we both enjoy cooking.  We also have a swimming pool and spend almost every weekend outside enjoying it.  The school district is one of the highest ranking in the area and is one of the main reasons we chose to move here.  We both plan to continue to work after the baby is born. We have a family in the neighborhood that has a daycare in their house and we plan on taking the baby there.

Our Pets
We have two dogs, Bruno and Hailey.  They are both Labrador mixes and we rescued both of them.  They are great family dogs!

Our Family
Family is very important to both of us and we believe that these relationships will offer so much to our child.  We both have fond memories of growing up with great family holiday celebrations and gatherings and we look forward to sharing these with our little one.

We also have great friendships and we make it a point to visit with our friends and their families as much as possible.  We enjoy outdoor activities and have an annual camping trip with our friends and their children.
