Dear Birthmother,

We are very appreciative that you are taking time to consider us as parents for your baby.  We are a loving couple with a strong marriage and would provide a supportive and caring foundation for your baby’s future.

Kris and Eric on a camping tripAbout Us
We met about seven years ago and have been married for over five years.

We decided to begin our family about two years ago when Kris was diagnosed with health conditions and have prevented us from having a pregnancy.  We are excited about adopting our first child.

Kristin has always been the one for me, my one true love.  From the first moment I met her, I felt a quiet confidence about her.  She shies from the spotlight, but is always ready to grab the spotlight and brighten someone else’s day.  She is the most responsible, empathetic person I know.  She is deeply concerned with treating people fairly and consistently.  When we make decisions, Kris always helps me to see the other side to any situation and she acts quickly on our decisions.  She plans for everything, both at work and at home, from road trips to a weekend around the house.  Her attention to detail is amazing.

Kristin appreciates stability and the support of family.  Family is first and foremost in her life.  She has been a wonderful role model for her nieces and cousins.  I know Kristin would provide a loving, nurturing home for your child.

Eric is the love of my life.  He is the most caring and generous person I have ever met.  He is always thinking about other people first.  I know I can count on him during the best and worst of times.  He is my rock – reliable and strong.  He brings out the best in me and makes me want to be a better person in every way possible.  He is practical and always considers the effect his actions may have on other people.  When we are faced with a difficult decision, he reflects carefully on what our choices mean for the future and our family.  At the same time, Eric adapts easily to change, especially with his family.  He thrives on spur-of-the-moment visits with loved ones.  He is a great uncle to his nephews and niece.  I know he would show the same love, guidance, and support to your baby.

Eric loves science, learning, and education.  He shares these passions as a college-level physics teacher.  His job provides me and our children free tuition for courses taken at his home institution as well as reduced tuition at other colleges in Maryland.  This benefit is an excellent opportunity we can offer your child.

We live in a modest brick home in a beautiful part of Maryland.

We live in a small, yet diverse college town and both work for the university. We live in a friendly neighborhood with parks nearby.

Our Family and Our Faith
Our family is close knit, held together by Christian faith and love.  Along with his twin sister, Eric is the youngest sibling in his family, with both an older sister and brother.  Kristin has one older sister.  Our parents have provided us with a support system beyond words.  Most of our extended family, including many cousins, lives within two hours driving time.  We value time shared with our family.

We are members of a local Catholic church and attend mass regularly.  Service is an important part of our faith and we help with parish events when we are called upon.  Our faith in God holds our life together.  We find strength and love in God and are excited to share our faith as our family grows.

Kristin and Eric with their gentle catsOur Furry Friends
We have two cats who we call members of our family.  They are loving and gentle.

Kris has cared for our older cat, Motor, since she was a kitten.  We rescued Sadie over a year and half ago.  She is a younger cat.

Motor and Sadie get along well with each other.
