Dear Birthmother,

We feel honored you are interested in learning about us. We are Melody and Eric, an energetic and loving Christian couple looking forward to sharing our love and family with your child.  We adopted our daughter three years ago through Lifetime and are excited to grow our family again.

Our Story
We were introduced by mutual friends and just celebrated our eleventh wedding anniversary.  We continue to have fun together and are very proud of the life and family we are building. 

We love to travel and explore new places.  We also value time at home together playing board games, watching movies, picnics at the parks and family bike rides.  When we were first married we started a card game.  Our scores are currently in the hundreds of thousands and we are interested to see who is winning on our 50th anniversary!  (Eric is currently in the lead.)

My Husband Eric
Eric is inspirational.  His love of life, learning, family, and fun motivate me every day.  He is a strong husband and father with a soft heart and great sense of humor.  Eric enjoys fishing, hiking, bicycling, and running.  Last year, he began training for his first triathlon and will compete this September.

Eric is an amazing daddy and is tender, patient and loving with Olivia.  He taught her how to have a tea party!  I sat and giggled as this big man showed our little girl how to pour from a tea pot and to hold her pinky in the air as she drank.  I know he will have a truly special relationship with his children.

Eric has a degree in Criminal Justice and has been a police officer for over 15 years.  He has been instrumental in creating programs for the homeless and mentally ill within our community.  Eric is greatly respected by his co-workers and community leaders for his dedication to helping people. 

My Wife Melody
More than beautiful, Melody is loving, compassionate and unpretentious. She inspires trust and brightens my days with thoughtful gestures and caring remarks.    Melody is welcoming, tender-hearted and strong.
           
Melody enjoys quilting, knitting, decorating and gardening around our home.  And shopping!  She and her mother are trying to prove that shopping really is a sport to rival any triathlon.  Melody has good judgment and is organized and balanced. 
           
Melody is a great mother and I am amazed at how patient, inspirational, loving and beautiful she can be with Olivia.   She is nurturing and devoted. 

Melody has her degree in Criminology. We are fortunate she is now a stay-at-home mom.  Melody is in her element as one of the Classroom Moms at Olivia’s pre-school.

Meet Olivia
Olivia is a very sweet and active three year old.  She loves books, music, trains and cars.  She is friendly, kind, loving, and talkative.  Olivia attends our local Christian pre-school and enjoys her weekly Spanish playgroup where she is learning to speak in “Español”.  She is looking forward to having a little brother or sister and is excited to be a helpful big sister.

We adopted Olivia through Lifetime and were very fortunate to be there for her birth.  We have a special relationship with Olivia’s birthmother and send letters and photos often.  Becoming parents has undeniably been the most enriching blessing of our lives. 

Our Home and Community
We live along the California coast in a small, quiet community a few miles from the ocean.  We live in one of the highest rated school districts in the state with several excellent private Christian schools.  In addition to regular academics and athletic activities, our schools offer surfing and other programs unique to the area. 

Our home is a three bedroom, two bath house in a quiet family neighborhood with lots of children.  From the windows we love to watch families of deer wander around our woods.
