God has given us a huge heart for children. We are ready to adopt our second child and are open to adopting a child of any race. We love being parents, and look forward to hearing your hopes for your child’s future.

About Us
We met when Mary moved in next door to Jack. That was 17 years ago, and we’re still very much in love and enjoying each new year together. Raising a family has been our dream since we met. We were surprised to have one biological daughter, Vanessa, but are unable to have another due to infertility. We are both very excited to grow our family through adoption. 

Both of us are athletic, outgoing, and creative. Mary got eight varsity letters in high school, was class artist, and in the National Honor Society. Jack had athletic and dramatic arts scholarships in college, was an All American athlete and has a world ranking as a masters athlete. Jack is on faculty as a college coach and coaches Olympic-level athletes. We have advanced degrees and both of us have spent our careers working at universities, teaching others. Mary is now a stay-at-home mom.

As parents we encourage individualism and exploration. We were hoping for many years to start our family - nothing has been more interesting, challenging and fun for us than being parents.

Mary, by Jack
I thought I married the perfect wife, but watching her now, I realize Mary might be an even better mom. She is filled with passion and love for others, and has a great sense of humor.

She has a way of making everyone feel welcome and important, but what I love most about Mary is how affectionate and nurturing she is as a wife and mother.

Jack is pretty much the best dad I could imagine. I’ve always loved how playful he is, even when he’s in charge. He’s a true leader in everything he does.

As a dad, Jack has a way of making even the simplest thing seem fun. I can tell he considers parenting to be a delight and a privilege. He told me he thinks being a father is “the best thing on earth.”

Vanessa
Our daughter, Vanessa, is going on two years old. She’s very curious and active - we look forward to every day with her. She loves her baby dolls and trunk of princess dresses, but she can also run, climb and throw a ball. If she’s not serving you tea, you can often find her reading her books or catching bugs in the garden.

Vanessa is very social and insists on helping out. We’re sure she will be a devoted and entertaining big sister.

Our Home
We live right by the ocean in a family neighborhood with a playground. Our kid-friendly three bedroom house has an open floor plan, a fenced-in yard, and views of the water.

We chose this home specifically for raising little children. We welcome family and friends to come stay with us. We love to travel and have been around the world, but we agree that we live in the best possible place to raise a family.

Our Family and Faith
We were born into large, happy Christian families. Vacations with our families are the highlight of our year. We have always been very active with our nieces and nephews and they are a big part of our life. Our family strongly supports our desire to adopt a child.

We share a strong faith in God and each of us has a personal relationship with Christ. We consider everything we do to be an opportunity to glorify God. As Christians, we believe God loves us and helps us through the toughest times.

Our Commitment
