Dear Birthmother,

We are Jarrod and Amy and have been happily married for nine years.  We are excited to become first-time parents through adoption. 

About Us
We are an active couple who enjoy outdoor activities such as mountain biking, skiing, golfing, going to the beach and traveling. 

During our marriage, we have enjoyed trips to Europe, Australia, China and Hawaii and various cities in America.  We believe in the power of travel to educate, provide a sense of history and expand our horizons.  We are a Christian couple who will create a nurturing, supportive, loving, faith-filled home environment for your child.  Thank you for the opportunity to introduce ourselves.

My Husband Jarrod 
Jarrod will make an incredible dad.  He has a fun sense of humor and keeps me laughing.  He really enjoys being around kids and will enjoy playing soccer, basketball and catch with our children.  I’m continuously impressed with Jarrod’s moral compass and thoughtful decision-making.

Jarrod works as a financial executive and is a wonderful provider.  Jarrod will make saving for our children’s college education a priority. 

His hobbies include keeping up on aviation and automobile trends. He read his first “Motor Trend” when he was sick in bed at age 10 and has been hooked on new model cars ever since.  Also, we have recently been able to work on an air show together which has been a fun project blending both of our interests.     

I see Jarrod’s heart melt when he sees babies and know he will be a tender, caring, and supportive daddy.

My Wife Amy
My wife Amy is my best friend.  She is always easy to talk to and I love that we are able to enjoy outdoor activities together.  She is a great cook and puts a lot of thought into making a variety of delicious, home-cooked dinners.  Amy will be a great mom – she is patient, kind and cares for others. 

Two years ago, she started her own event planning business working from home so she could have a flexible schedule when we start our family.  Her example of optimism, integrity and hard work will be a good model for our children.  

She has also enjoyed helping others through her volunteer activities.  We’ve hosted many Thanksgivings and special celebrations at our home.  Our children will have a mother who will spend time with them, create a cozy, loving environment, and be an excellent teacher.   

Our Home
We live in Northern California and have a three bedroom, two bath home at the end of a cul-de-sac in a great neighborhood where neighborhood kids play basketball and ride skateboards.  Our city has a wonderful large municipal park great for hiking, biking and swimming. 

Our Faith & Parenting Perspective
We will teach your child about God, who loves them and designed their life for a purpose.  We were both raised in Christian homes and believe in raising children to love and respect others while maintaining their own beliefs. 

We will offer your child a loving faith-based home, a quality education, and a variety of opportunities as they grow.   We look forward to seeing what talents and natural interests develop and supporting those throughout your child’s life.   

Our Family & Friends 
Amy has three sisters who are a great network of support along with her mother and father.  Jarrod’s parents live nearby and we have the opportunity to see them on a regular basis. They are all excited to welcome a new member of the family through adoption.  We have also been blessed to have many close friends who we are able to share BBQ's, camping trips, 4th of July and other special memories with each year.

Our Promise to You
We are so excited about adopting our first child. We will provide a safe, nurturing home full of love for your child.  We look forward to creating a “life-book” so your child can always know the story about how he or she became a part of our family.  We are open to keeping you updated with letters and pictures throughout the years. 

Over the last few years, God has led our hearts toward adoption.  We have friends who adopted and have seen how wonderful it is.  In fact, about four years ago when we were starting our journey toward parenthood, our friend’s son said to his mom, “I think they should adopt a little baby who needs a home!” and it has remained on our hearts ever since.
