Dear Birthmother,
Hi! We are Jason and Christine. We are a multi-cultural family: Jason is Puerto Rican and Christine is of Italian descent. We have been married now for over 12 years. A mutual friend introduced us while Jason was in the military. That introduction led to an instant bond, friendship and love which we have maintained as the foundation of our marriage.
About Us:
Our sons are Christian (12) and Gabriel (5). After Christian’s birth we had to wait several years to attempt to conceive again. Six years later we had Gabriel. We knew almost instantly that we wanted to have more children so we decided to go the route of adoption.
Jason served in the military for nine years and was honorably discharged in 1999. Jason has been with the same organization for nine years and is now Vice President of Information Technology.
Christine stayed home for awhile with both children after their births until she felt it was time for them to interact with other children, giving her the opportunity to return to work part-time. Christine plans to stay home with the baby as she did with our sons. Currently Christine works five houses down from ours as an accounting clerk. She ensures that she is home when the children return from school.
We attend weekly services at our local church, enjoy taking part in the many fellowship opportunities and value the friendships we have fostered.
Our Family:
Every day our time together is spent sharing and enjoying that time. Our life is simple and is focused on our family, including our pets. We enjoy fishing in our local pond, swimming in our neighborhood pool, and attending our children’s school functions and sporting events. Every effort is made to do things together, including simple things as shopping or yard work. We are fortunate that a few times a year we are able to travel to different parts of the country with Jason on his business trips.
Every summer we vacation in Cancun for two weeks. Our entire family and extended family accompany us, allowing us to spend uninterrupted time with each other. We visit ruins of ancient civilizations, swim with dolphins, and go parasailing, horseback riding and hot air ballooning. We feel that family and the time shared together is priceless and are grateful for the opportunity of doing things together.
Christine:
Christine is a one-of-a-kind mother, wife and friend who is always full of support and encouragement. She is a very funny person and the best mother.
She focuses on loving us each and every day without compromise and dedicates herself to the children in every way. She is our foundation.
Jason:
Jason is a great father, husband and friend. He has strong values, is very hard working and ensures we have what we need.
He is very funny and silly, always keeping us laughing. He is a wonderful role model for the children. Jason likes spending his spare time with his family, working on computers and practicing his golf swing.
Christian and Gabriel:
Christian is currently in sixth grade. He is a very smart, sensitive, caring and active child. He participates in football and baseball on our local recreational team. He enjoys spending time playing with his friends. He is very excited about having another brother or a sister.
Gabriel is creative, affectionate and bright. He enjoys playing with Lego's, blocks, puzzles and painting; anything where he can use his hands. He plays soccer at a nearby church. He started kindergarten this year and loves going to school. He is always asking when we are going to have another child as he is very excited about being a first-time big brother.
Our Home:
We live in Georgia, in an established neighborhood that offers a swimming pool with a children’s wading pool, two ponds, a playground, walking trail and two tennis courts. Local parks, schools and library are a couple miles away. Our home is a four-bedroom ranch on a full finished basement, with a playroom that has plenty of space for kids to play, as well as a great backyard.
Closing:
We promise that your child will be enveloped in love, security, support and a nurturing environment throughout their life, ensuring the best life possible.
