Dear Birthmother,

Hello and thank you for this opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves with you.  If you are comfortable we would love the opportunity to get to know each other better as you make a decision about your child’s future.  We are excited to become first-time parents through adoption.

About Us
We have been married over five years and we can’t wait to adopt our first child and create memories as a family.  We live in a private cul-de-sac in a three bedroom, two bath home in Northern California.
 
We enjoy watching and attending NASCAR races, playing video games, spending time at the beach during the summer and the snow in the winter.  While attending various NASCAR races, we enjoy hunting for race car drivers. We enjoy going to different orchards and farms picking pumpkins, cherries and apples.   We love going on vacation and often go on small cruises, Disneyland, train rides and different water/theme parks. 

Some of our best times are spent at home, watching movies in front of the fireplace, swinging on the swing outside just talking and walking to the park to fly kites. We love sharing our outings with our family.  We also have two small dogs, Lady and Vinnie.

After a few years of being unable to have a baby, we decided that adoption is the best way for us to become a family.  All of our friends and family are very happy of our decision and have been very supportive.

About Our Families…
Laurie was born and raised in Southern California and is the youngest of four children.  Her parents have been married for over 40 years which gave Laurie a great role. Laurie has worked for the same insurance company for several years but will only work part-time after we adopt so she can spend most of her time as a mom.

Jason was born and raised in Northern California and is an only child.  His parents have been married for over 30 years and have always been a great example of love.  They are also looking forward to their first grandchild.  He has worked as a team leader for a utility company for many years.

How Laurie feels about Jason…
When I first met Jason, we talked for hours on the phone and I knew from the second I hung up that he was the man I was going to marry.  I’ll never forget the day he met my nephews for the first time.  He drove all night to get to Southern California for my birthday and we went to the water park.  They were instantly drawn to him and him to them.  It was as if they have known each other for years. 

He shows me every day why I fell in love with him the day we met. Jason is hardworking, funny, outgoing, sensitive and comforting.  When friends and family meet Jason, they fall in love with him.  Jason has always wanted to be a dad and I know he is going to be a wonderful and proud father and is dreaming of the day when he has a son or daughter.
 
How Jason feels about Laurie…
It was a turning point in my life when I met Laurie and I am thankful every day that she is in my life.  I remember when we first started talking; we would talk for hours about everything.  We would often talk about plans for our future together.  Laurie has always wanted to be a mom and we hope and pray for that to happen.  Laurie is going to be a great mom.  I love the way Laurie is with her family she would do anything for them.  She is funny, very sensitive, honest, supportive and a great person all around.  I know she looks forward to being a mom when she can rock a baby in her arms and raising a child together.
