We are Jay and Kira and we are happy to share with you a little about our lives. After doctors told us that we shouldn't have more biological children we became excited about adopting. Adoption has a special meaning in our family as Kira's mom and three youngest sisters were all adopted. We love being parents and can't wait to expand our family by adopting our second child.

About Us
Our marriage is strong. It is based on the commitment to love, respect and trust in each other. We both come from loving and stable families where we always felt unconditional love. With God's help, passing this on to our children is our number one priority. We love being parents and have always dreamt of having a large family. We love the outdoors, taking walks with our dog, gardening, barbequing, and spending time with family and friends.

About Kira...by Jay
Kira has changed my life and she brings out the best in me. I love her strength; she always stands up for what she believes in. Kira is the oldest of five children and grew up in the country, surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, and chickens.

Kira is an incredibly organized person. She is our "family calendar," remembering all important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries. She is a pro at finding the "perfect" gifts for people. In her free time you can find her curled up with at book or magazine. She has always enjoyed collecting pictures and creating memories through scrapbooking.

Kira graduated from college with a degree in sociology. After graduation she spent many years teaching at a private Montessori school and as a professional nanny. Children seem to trust and attach easily to her as she is patient, fair and consistent. She continues to demonstrate this to our son every day in her role as a stay at home mom.

About Jay...by Kira
Jay is the sweetest and most easygoing man in the world. He always seems to be calm, cool and collected. He is passionate about life and loves people. He can strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. Jay is considerate, kind and charming, characteristics that make him a favorite with our three grandmas! His soft-hearted nature and big heart win everyone over.

He graduated from college with a degree in agricultural business with a minor in marketing. Jay has built his own business producing and distributing organic compost.

When not working, you can find him cooking up a storm in our kitchen. His hobbies are researching, purchasing, and playing with the latest computer and electronic gadget, BBQing or even sneaking a snooze in the hammock. Jay loves woodworking and assembling furniture with his tools.

Jay is a wonderful father to our son Logan!

About Logan
Our son Logan loves other children. He becomes so excited when he sees them playing in front of our house, at the park, and even at the store. He has brought our family great joy and is growing quickly.

He is active, loving and outgoing. We have always hoped that our children would be close together in age, he will be a wonderful big brother!

Our Home
We live in a small suburban community in Central California. Our home is a newly remodeled, Tuscan style, three bedroom two bath home with a huge backyard. Our entire neighborhood is family oriented where children safely play outside, families know each other and the schools are ranked number one in our area.

Our Families
We are so fortunate to live only ten minutes from both sets of our parents as well as our siblings. We spend a lot of time together having family dinners and celebrating birthdays and holidays. Family gatherings are always filled with love, laughter, fun times, and lots of activity!

We also share our home with our four year old dog Macy.
