Dear Birthmother,

We are Julie and Jeff. We have been together since high school and have been happily married for over 12 years. While dealing with infertility, we realized that God meant for us to be adoptive parents. We adopted our son just before he turned one, and we have enjoyed being parents even more than we had dreamed. We are overjoyed at the idea of adopting a newborn and experiencing for the first time that amazing first year of life.

We are a young, active, fun-loving family. We like to spend our time camping, hiking, swimming, and traveling, and our favorite destinations include Europe, Mexico, San Francisco, and the beach.

Julie About Jeff...
Jeff is a wonderful husband and my very best friend. He is always there to listen and be supportive. What I love most about Jeff are the qualities that make him the wonderful dad he is.

He always has Tyler help him do things like walking the dogs or cleaning the fish tank, and he guides Tyler with patience and constant encouragement. Jeff loves to teach Tyler new things and is proud to coach Tyler’s soccer team. Tyler and I agree that the best thing about Jeff is his sense of humor. He always makes up silly songs and stories just to make us laugh! Jeff loves camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and playing most sports. He enjoys running and has run two marathons. Jeff has a successful career as a Marketing Manager.

Jeff About Julie...
Julie is very loving and nurturing. She goes all out to make birthdays and holidays truly special as well as making everyday things fun like having thunderstorm parties with Tyler.

Before becoming a stay-at-home mom, she taught both kindergarten and first grade. Julie enjoys cooking, baking, exercise, tennis, and scrapbooking.

Julie, On Being a Stay-at-Home Mom
Being a stay at home mom is the most important thing I’ve ever done. Jeff and I decided early in our relationship that this was a gift we would give our children and ourselves. Tyler and I enjoy doing fun things together from painting to baking to playing with Play-Doh. Even on busy school days, I make sure Tyler and I do something special together. We enjoy going to the library, the park, hands-on children’s museums and attending fun seasonal activities.

About Tyler
Our seven year old son, Tyler, is truly a gift from God. He is a very sweet-natured, thoughtful, and loving child who enjoys playing with his friends, playing with trains, and swimming. When Tyler plays with his younger cousins, everyone compliments him on how patient and kind he is with them. He is very excited about having a little brother or sister!

Our Faith
We belong to a warm and loving Catholic church. We attend church there each Sunday, Julie volunteers as a Sunday school teacher, and we participate in service projects as a family.

Our Home
Our home in Alabama is a three bedroom brick ranch with a large fenced backyard. Our neighborhood has many young families who like to enjoy the neighborhood park. Our school system is one of the best in the state, and our wonderful elementary school is only a five minute drive from us. Our church, library, city park, and pediatrician are all less than ten minutes away.

Our Family
Julie is the youngest of five children and Jeff is the oldest of three children. Both families are very close and get together often. Most of our family members live nearby. Tyler has ten cousins! Our families can’t wait to have a new little one to adore.

Ralph and Barkley are our two adorable Beagles. They love children and have always been gentle and careful with our son.
