Dear Birthmother,

We are Jerry and Heather and are excited to get to know you; thank you for considering us!  We just celebrated our eight year wedding anniversary.  We are best friends and have a wonderful loving marriage.       

We would like to share with you our reason for choosing adoption.  Heather has had Juvenile Diabetes since the age of five years old.  When discussing starting a family, the doctors recommended that she not get pregnant due to the normal complications that can happen during pregnancy.  Therefore, we discussed all options and choose adoption over all others considered.  One of the main reasons for choosing adoption is that all of Jerry’s brothers and sisters were adopted.  All of our family and friends are very excited for us and supportive of our decision to adopt our first child.  We are ready to welcome your baby into our family and have the nursery ready to go. 

About Us…
We met at a restaurant where we both worked.  We quickly became friends. For the last eight years, we have been building our relationship and setting the foundation of our marriage.  We have a strong marriage and are secure with each other and are financially stable.

Jerry has his Master Electrician’s License and plays a big part in helping run his uncle’s company.  Heather is employed with a local government agency where she investigates allegations of fraud.   

Jerry…
is a wonderful, loving, supportive, patient and kind husband and a hard working man.  Jerry helps me out around the house a lot by doing the checkbook, vacuuming, and he will even do laundry from time to time, which is a big help.  He will check my blood sugar just to make sure it’s ok.  He really takes care of me and is supportive of me and encourages me every day.  He can make me laugh, if I want to cry.  He is the love of my life and I thank God for him every day.  He is my best friend and we literally share everything together. 
 
Jerry can’t wait to be a father and talks frequently about what it will be like when we welcome a baby into our home.  He will make an excellent father by providing unconditional love and support. 

Heather…
is a blessing in my life. She is the most compassionate, caring, and understanding person I know. She is always there to listen and support me after a long day at work. Heather has the warmest smile, the kind that always makes you smile back no matter what. Heather has a heart of gold. She is the type of person whom you can always count on to be there for you. She is my true best friend.

I would have to say that spending time with her niece and nephew is her favorite thing to do. She is so happy playing games and taking them places. To watch her caring for them and spending time with them shows how great of a mother she will be.

Our Home and Community…
We live in a brick, ranch style home with three bedrooms and one bathroom with a full basement, and fenced in backyard in Virginia. 

Our home is surrounded by beautiful mountains.  Our neighborhood is quiet and safe.   

Our Faith and Family…
We were both raised in Christian homes.  We attend a non-denominational church that offers many activities for families and their children throughout the year.

Everyone in our immediate family lives within eight miles from our home, with the exception of Jerry’s dad and step-mom.  Heather’s mother and father are the closest, living only seven minutes away.  We enjoy spending time with our family.  It’s always someone’s birthday and we celebrate holidays together.  We are confident that God will provide us with a child that fits into our family in every way.
