Dear Birthmother,

We are Jerry and Heather and are so excited to show you a little bit about our lives and how our family has come together through adoption. Our hope now is to continue to expand our family with another adoption. Heather is a stay at home mom and we love our life as parents! We will answer any questions you have and will do our best to carry out your hopes for your child’s life.

About Us
We recently celebrated 14 years of marriage and cannot imagine a life without each other. Our favorite pastime is traveling and we try to get away as often as possible. Our goal is to learn as much as we can about this world we live in and all the people, foods and history that come with it. Our faith led us to adoption two years ago when we adopted our daughter, Mia through Lifetime.

About Jerry
Jerry enjoys the great outdoors from the gardening to outdoor sports. He is so much fun and keeps us laughing with his silliness. He is caring and always thoughtful of others. He counts his strong upbringing and wonderful parents as the reason for the person he has become today.

Jerry works for himself as a business consultant in state politics and has a fairly flexible schedule. He is active in our church and serves on several non-profit boards that support our community. He is an excellent father and delights in spending time with Mia and letting her lead the games!

About Heather
Heather can usually be found reading a good book or researching the next travel destination. She loves life to the fullest extent and has an optimism and strong belief in the goodness of the world we live in. She is warm and comforting in the toughest of times. She is thoughtful and works hard to make others feel loved. She often reminds me and all those around her of the value of positive thinking.

Heather left her marketing research career to give her full attention to our family. As a stay-at-home mom, she makes family the center of her life and works hard to keep everyone’s meals, appointments and activities on schedule! Heather has masterfully stepped into the role of motherhood and enjoys the daily thrill of watching Mia grow and learn.

About Mia
Adopted at birth, Mia is a wonderful and happy child. She is two years old and loves dolls, reading stories and singing. She has a real love for babies and we have no doubt that she will be a great big sister.

We honor Mia’s birthmother’s wishes and regularly send photos to her sharing Mia’s growth along with letters that describe her milestones.

Our Family
Our home is regularly filled with the laughter and joy of both sides of our loving family. Jerry’s dad was so thrilled to have a granddaughter join his two other grandsons and is anxiously awaiting the next child we adopt!

Since Heather’s brother and his wife and daughters live less than a mile away, we are constantly spending time together and letting the cousins play. Heather’s parents visit often and sometimes stay for several weeks to thoroughly enjoy their granddaughters. Everyone is so excited about a new baby joining our family.

Our Home
Our home is completely family-friendly. We selected an older home in an award-winning school district and renovated it to fit our needs. It now has an additional family room (filled with toys) and a great backyard for playing.

We live in Central Texas in a great city that has tons of parks, lakes, museums and activities for families. We also enjoy the company of our dogs, Beauxregard and Roxie, and Tinker, our cat.

In Closing
We came through years of fertility challenges only to be richly blessed by our daughter through adoption. We will be loving parents to your child and will welcome him or her with open arms into our family. We promise to raise him or her with a strong understanding of the importance of faith and family and will do all we can to help your child be successful and happy.
