Dear Birthmother,

We feel that we are blessed with a great life and want to share our blessings with a child. Joyce is a birthmother and we have a lot of compassion for birth mothers.

About Us
We have shared ten wonderful years of marriage and cannot imagine being apart. We have a superabundant love to share. Joyce can’t wait to be a stay at home mom and Jim works within walking distance of our home and can telecommute at times.

We believe that children are truly a gift from God, and that becoming parents will be the most important and rewarding job there is.

We attend an awesome Christian church. It is filled with young families. We were both raised in church and with a strong faith, and we plan to do the same for our child.

Meet the Man of My Dreams: Jim
Jim is the man of my dreams and a true gift from God. His thoughtfulness and care for me and our relationship never ceases to amaze me. He is always looking for ways to make my life, and our life together, more joyous.

He loves Shakespeare, history, art and music. He loves most sports, especially football. He is a diehard fan of the Green Bay Packers, and is an avid bicyclist and hiker.

Jim has a Master’s degree in Operations Analysis, and has completed a career as an officer in the Navy. He has traveled the world.

Jim is extremely ethical, and possesses a strong sense of morals and values. Jim is very supportive of me and all of my interests, and I know that he will be that way with our child. He will be a very involved daddy!

About the Love of My Life: Joyce
Joyce has a special place in her heart for birthmothers. At the age of 20, she too became a birthmom. At the time, she could not provide the kind of home for her child that she would have wanted. She had a semi-open adoption, and was able to meet and choose the parents who would become her daughter’s adoptive parents. Today, Joyce maintains contact with her daughter from time to time.

Joyce is the most wonderful person I have ever met. She is unfailingly kind, thoughtful and loving. She is exceptionally patient, and can always find the silver lining.

Joyce has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Over a 10 year period, she operated her own home-based daycare. She has taught pre-school, and worked with autistic children.

Joyce loves to make things, and is exceptionally talented at arts and crafts. She loves to read and learn new things. She loves shopping, going to spas and being pampered. She enjoys travel and seeing new things. Her favorite entertainment is going to amusement parks.

My wife is playful, optimistic and fun. She has strong moral fiber and is the definition of nurturing. It is a pleasure to see her with children. She is going to be a wonderful mother.

Our Families
Our families are very excited about the new addition. Our child will have wonderful grandparents to dote on him or her and has several waiting aunts and uncles.

Home and Neighborhood
We live in the greater Seattle, Washington area. Our suburb is safe and there are lots of young, professional families.

Our community is very family oriented. There is an abundance of parks, recreation, sports and clubs for children of all ages. We also have an excellent community center, offering family activities. There is never a lack of things to do here.

We like the fact that the city is not too far, offering lots of diverse and multi-cultural experiences, museums, parks, and street fares, special exhibits and live theater, which we love.

Our home has three bedrooms and two baths, and is surrounded by lots of trees and green spaces. Several parks are within walking distance.

Our Promise
Your child will be offered all of the wonderful things and opportunities that the world has to offer. Our mission will be to give your child the best education possible, and everything that they will need to become a successful and happy person. We are open to adopting a boy or a girl; we believe that adoption is a positive experience and we will share our child’s adoption story with him or her in a positive way. We want to create a post-adoption plan with you, with whatever degree of contact you are comfortable with.
