We are very excited to welcome a child into our lives and appreciate this opportunity to share information about us, our family and our dreams.

About Us:
We don't take ourselves too seriously; laughter is an important part of our daily lives. We enjoy traveling, trying new things, playing games and spending time at home and time with our extended family.

We are excited about the opportunity to bring a child into our lives, to provide a loving home, and look forward to sharing in the joys of growing up, seeing the smiles and learning from the disappointments.

Our hopes and ambitions are to provide for our children the same loving, fun, and secure home filled with special memories that our parents provided for the both of us. We were both raised in two-parent homes that consistently promoted good moral values, compassion for others and above all else, unconditional love.

Tara keeps balance to our lives; she is goal-oriented, has strong values, believes in family and open, honest communication.

Tara is always up for an adventure - skydiving, singing lessons, deep sea fishing, snorkeling and kayaking to name a few, and once committed, never looks back. Tara loves to travel, visit museums, historic locations and to see the local culture. When we travel, Tara strays from the tourist route and we'll frequently catch a cab, get a tour and hit the local hangouts and favorite hot spots.

Tara is an elementary school teacher and is passionate about helping children develop and grow. I've seen first-hand how she treats her students with respect, while at the same time, challenging them to grow and accomplish things they never thought possible. Many a night is spent with construction paper, Popsicle sticks, crayons, glue and all kinds of craft material within her reach.

Tara is very close to her mom; they talk frequently about all aspects of their lives and together, make an impressive shopping duo.

It's difficult for me to put into words how I see Tara...it would be cliché to say she's my best friend; Tara is the person I rely on to discuss life and plan my dreams. I guess the most important thing for me is that Tara is the one I can't wait to raise a family with.

My husband, Joe, is my "go-to guy." He is quick-witted, supportive, a great listener and always there for me.

Joe is laid back, yet adventurous. He enjoys camping, fishing, golf, woodworking and just tinkering around the garage on weekends. Joe also loves to cook. On the weekends he is often found in the kitchen surrounded by cookbooks looking for new recipes to try.

Joe's favorite holiday may be Christmas, but I'm pretty sure that birthdays also rank up the top as his favorite days. He is always the one who makes birthdays special for everyone. Before each of our niece's and nephew's birthdays, he goes all out to purchase fun hats, silly string and noise makers in order to give them each a special day to remember.

Our Family:
Our families are a big part of our lives and in addition to holidays, birthday celebrations and family reunions, we enjoy simple weekend get-togethers with everyone.

Both of our families were created through adoption; Tara's grandfather and brother were adopted and Joe's mother was raised by her aunts. We come from very close families who are very supportive and excited about the path we have chosen to welcome our first child into our family.

Our Home:
We live in a roomy, yet cozy home in a newer development in one of Nebraska's major cities. Our neighborhood is quiet and family-oriented, with children ranging from newborns to teenagers. We live close to great schools, parks and shopping. Our city has many museums, theaters, libraries, a children's zoo, and several sporting events ranging from baseball to hockey to football.
