Hello, we are Joey and Emily. We have been married for 17 years.  We greatly look forward to getting to know you, hearing about your life, your dreams, your ambitions and the hope and love you have for your child. We want to share with you our hopes and dreams and the love we have for you and for your child. We are a family with lots of love to offer and want to welcome you and your child into it. Our Family
Due to infertility, we pursued adoption which led to the open adoptions of both of our boys. We would like to further our plan in continuing to build our family by another adoption. Our oldest son, Michael, was adopted at birth and Joshua Morgan was adopted at 28 months. Both birthmoms have welcomed us into their families and we welcomed them into ours.  Since the first time we met both birthmoms, our relationship with each one has been very special and meaningful. The boys are very excited about becoming big brothers to a baby sister or baby brother.

The well-being of our family is our foremost concern. In everything we do, we strive to treat each day as unique and special with its own opportunities for learning, contributing and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.  We go to great efforts to create lasting memories that will be cherished for a lifetime whether through simple activities such as growing a family garden that we all work in together or taking a ski vacation at Lake Tahoe in which we all participate in ski lessons together.

My Husband, Joey
is my best friend and is full of life. He is a wonderful husband and father to our sons, Michael & Morgan. He is caring, dependable and has a heart full of unconditional love. He embraces life and puts forth so much effort in making the most of everything. Joey is a professional civil engineer and is the president of the company he works for. Seeing Joey in the role of a parent is a great treasure to me. He is so nurturing to both Michael and Morgan and makes a concerted effort in spending quality and quantity time with them. They often fish, camp, or go on scavenger hunts. Joey makes outdoor learning fun by using things he learned growing up as an Eagle Scout.

My Wife, Emily
is one of a kind. There is truly no one quite like her. Emily has a great passion for life and brings great joy to everyone who gets to know her. Emily always brings a lot of fun and adventure to our family life whether we are spending time with family and friends or just progressing through our normal work and school weeks. Emily has a special gift for being a great mom. She is actively involved as a volunteer at Michael and Morgan’s school, teaches Sunday school at our church and is involved with several other church functions. Emily truly enjoys spending her time and energy developing both our son’s interest. Emily also enjoys maintaining her professional practice as licensed dietitian/nutritionists by consulting part-time.

Our Hopes & Dreams
Our hopes and ambitions, as parent, are that we will be able to provide for our children the same loving and secure and comfortable home filled with special memories that our parents provided for the both of us. We were both raised in two-parent homes that consistently promoted good moral values, strong work ethics, honesty, compassion for others and above all else unconditional love for each other. We both grew up in Christian homes and continue a consistent practice of our faith. We believe our faith practice is the source for our well-balanced, meaningful and productive lives and serves as a constant source of peace and security.
