Dear Birthmother,

We're John and Lonni, and we are very happy to introduce ourselves to you. We hope and pray that we are the type of family that you are looking for to raise your child. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about us.

We have been married for about thirteen years and have a happy, stable marriage built on love, mutual respect, friendship and faith. We have always wanted to have children, but like many couples, we have been unsuccessful having children the traditional way. We feel that we have so much to share with a child.

Our Home, Church and Community...
We live in a small but growing town in southern California. Our home is on a cul-de-sac in a neighborhood full of families with young children. Our yard has plenty of grass for a child to play on and John is going to build a play set as the child gets older. Our town has wonderful schools, parks and recreational programs for children. It is a great place for kids and families to grow.

We have been active in our Christian church for several years, including taking over the men's fellowship meetings and being part of the worship team as well as being involved with the special functions that our church has. We have grown closer in our faith through the years and it is a very important part of our life together. It keeps us centered on what is really important.

For relaxation and fun, we like to travel and see new things and places. We live near the ocean and the mountains, and visit both as often as possible. At home we both enjoy gardening or working on projects around the house. We also enjoy music and reading. We both love to have get-togethers and cookouts on the patio in our back yard with friends and family.

About Lonni, from John...
Lonni is the most beautiful person I have ever met, both physically and spiritually. I knew the second I saw her that she was the one God intended me to be with. Lonni is the most caring, giving, and loving person. Not just in our marriage, but with everyone. That is why she chose nursing as profession. She cares for all of the patients as if they are her family. Lonni has so much to offer as a mother.

A love that has no limits, a fun-loving spirit, a curious and adventurous nature, a love of learning, and a joy of life like no one else I have ever known. Her greatest desire is to share all of these things with a child. Lonni is very family oriented and is always ready to help her family and friends. I can promise you that Lonni will be the most loving, caring, and devoted mother that any child could hope for.

About John, from Lonni...
John is my best friend and my soul mate. When I said "I do", on our wedding day, I knew that it would be forever. He is a great husband and provider, and he has always wanted to be a father. He loves to make things and is very talented with his woodworking. He has already started on a toy chest for the baby's room, and he is drawing up plans for a play set in our backyard. John is also a kid at heart and he loves to sit down with our nephews to watch one of the Disney videos that he has collected. John is smart, tender, and loving, and he makes everyone around him laugh and smile. John is the best, and I know he will be a wonderful father.

Our Families...
We are both the youngest in our families. Our parents and families have been great role models for us and will be very involved with our child. John's mom and brother live a few miles away. Lonni's brother, aunt, nieces and nephews all live within a 30-mile distance. Holidays are always a big get-together for the family, usually at our home. We all enjoy spending time with each other, and get together as often as possible.

In Closing...
We have always wanted children and we look forward to this dream of ours becoming a reality. We will provide your child with the best education and all of the opportunities available to them, so that they will reach their highest potential. Most importantly, his or her life will be filled with an abundance of love by us and our family. We will love him or her unconditionally, and help them to grow emotionally and spiritually into a happy and confident adult.
