We are a sporty, energetic, fun loving, traditional Irish family.

Our life
We have been happily married for 12 years and have one son aged nine years, and two daughters, both aged six years. Two of our children came to use through adoption, and one was born to us biologically. In the early years of our marriage, we managed to come to terms with the loss of our first-born child in 1995, due to a genetic disorder. This loss has led us to adoption.

Our Faith
Our family is Roman Catholic; we have great strength in faith and each day feel thankful and privileged to be so blessed in life.

About John, by Mary
John is a wonderful husband and daddy. He is outgoing, easygoing, and has a great sense of humor. John has many business interests and loves being self employed. In particular, he enjoys working on the farm. This allows him to choose his own hours so that he can actively be involved in family life.

What John loves most are the common interests we share as a couple and as a family. We all love sports, be it hurling, football, soccer, rugby, swimming, polo cross, horse riding, or any other activity. John enjoys traveling, gardening, visiting and socializing with friends and family, and especially the quiet times we spend together as a family.

John's personality, charm and fun loving nature can light up any room.

About Mary, by John
Mary is very much a jolly person who appreciates nothing better than a good night out socializing, dining, or at a concert. She loves to help out in the office that is attached to our home.

Mary cares deeply about family and loves her job as a fulltime mum. She always ensures that one or both of us are always free to spend time with the kids. As a result, we have never had to use daycare.

An organizer by nature, Mary puts great energy and passion into everything she does. Her down to earth and bubbly nature is loved by all.

Our Children
Energetic, smart, funny, intelligent, loving; these are just some of the characteristics of our three children's personalities. Like all children, they love the outdoors, playing sports, swimming, riding their ponies, as well as tending to their kittens and other farmyard animals. Our holidays abroad are a big hit with the kids who prepare weeks in advance with much excitement.

The children are so excited about the idea of a baby in the home, that playing “babies” with their dolls has now become a favorite pastime. Our children have the most loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins that any child could hope for, and all eagerly anticipate the arrival of a new little one.

Our Home
Our home is a large, two-story house situated on 200 acres of green meadow.
Our home's four bedrooms, large living areas, and a kitchen the kids can cycle a bike around, are just some of the features of our home. Our toy room and nursery are fully stocked, just waiting for a baby to crawl around and play.

Outside there is a large lawn, a kiddy play area consisting of swings, slides, soccer pitch, playhouse, sand pit, and of course, the pony riding area, a favorite with all the family.

The neighborhood is quiet and secure with little traffic but with many young couples who have children of a similar age to our own. We are located within walking distance from the nearest village, school, church and shops; everything we need is close by.

Conclusion
One of the many things we have learned in the process of becoming parents is the value of adoption and the joy of having a large family. The understanding of adoption comes easily to our children, as we have instilled them with love and pride in their origins and birth parents.
