Dear Birthmother,

We are thankful you have taken the time to learn more about us.  We are a fun-loving, young, active couple from California.  We are honored to share our life with you and are excited about becoming parents.  From the beginning of our journey, we embraced the idea that our family would be made through adoption, since we knew we would face fertility issues.  It is with great excitement and joy to welcome our first child into our loving home.

About Us
Eight years ago, we were set up on a blind date.  The night we met, we both knew that we were meant to be together. We are very much in love and treasure every moment together.  We have a very stable relationship and are so lucky that we are each other’s best friend.  We both enjoy being outside and taking advantage of the California weather.  We spend many weekends riding our bikes on the local trails, and going on day trips.  Some of our favorite evenings are also spent in our own backyard, barbecuing with family, friends and our dog, Meeka.

About John, from Staci
John is the best husband I could have hoped for.  I knew from the moment that I met him that I wanted to marry him and raise a family together. John is always willing to help others and goes out of his way to be there for a friend or family member in need.  He loves spending time with our nieces and nephew and is always eager to teach them new and exciting things.  John’s passion is cooking and is blessed to have a job where he is able to create meals for pre-school children.  John loves playing games, going to sporting events, and even watching cartoons! On the weekends he relaxes by going for bike rides, hiking, skateboarding and even finished his first half-marathon this year!  He is so eager to share these things with our child!

About Staci, from John
Staci is not only my wife, but she is my best friend.  Staci’s love for children is apparent every time she is around any of her nieces or nephew. It extends beyond her personal life, as she is an elementary school teacher.  Staci believes in teaching life lessons such as morals, values, manners, and academics.  In Staci’s leisure time, she enjoys being with family and close friends. She also enjoys gardening, walking, scrapbooking, and taking water aerobics classes at our local community center. Going to musical productions has always been a part of Staci’s life.  I am lucky to have found such a caring partner. Staci sees her family nearly every day, and she will pass her values in family relationships on to our child.
           
Our Family
Both sets of grandparents can’t wait to welcome and spoil our child.  Staci’s loving parents live less than two miles away.  On the weekends we walk to their house to have breakfast.  John’s parents live 10 miles away and both are actively involved in their church. 

We always have plenty of family and friends around and all are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new baby.  This child is going to be surrounded by very loving family and friends.

Our Home
Our home is located in a small town outside the San Francisco area.  We enjoy walking to the farmer’s market every weekend to pick the fresh vegetables and fruit.

Our home is two bedrooms, one and a half baths and is in a safe and quiet neighborhood. It is close to parks, schools, bike/walking trails, and community center. We absolutely love our California location where we can go to the beach one day and mountains the next.

As parents, we will always be there for your child with love, support and guidance.  We’re committed to raising your child in a loving home with strong values.  We will support your child emotionally and encourage them to achieve all their hopes and dreams. Education is important and we will promote it throughout their life.  We will also support our child to have other interests.
