Adoptive parents, Jon and Jamesie

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us better as we introduce ourselves. We are a fun, dynamic Christian couple who love and respect each other deeply and we are excited about becoming first-time parents.

Jamesie and Jon on a bike rideWe’re a small-town Midwestern boy and a military brat who’ve been married for nine years and our life together has been quite a wonderful adventure of fun and faithfulness. We enjoy hanging out with friends and family, playing sports or games together, volunteering our time and skills, traveling several times a year and relaxing on a quiet evening.

Early in our marriage we agreed that adoption was a way we wanted to grow our family. Now we feel God is leading us to move forward with our adoption plans and we can’t wait to start our family. Your child will always know how he or she became a special part of our family through adoption.

I love my wife and she has a tremendous amount of gifts, talents, and love to offer. Jamesie is one the strongest women I know and she stands up for her convictions and pours her heart and energy into the things she cares about. With her wonderful sense of humor, Jamesie can brighten a room with her smile and laughter. Also, she is a great gift-giver: she loves to shop and tries to find the best deals on everything she buys and the right presents for our friends and family.

When I think of Jamesie, the words that come to mind are beautiful, amazing, strong-willed, passionate, inquisitive, perceptive, and happy.

About Jon
Jon is playful and kind, so children love to play with him! Those things that caught my attention about Jon when we first met still intrigue me and cause me to love him even more today. His integrity, stability and passion help make him a wonderful friend, a responsible businessman and a devoted husband. Our family, friends and clients consider Jon to be honest, fair and steady. In our personal and professional lives, Jon is committed to doing what God wants for him. While he is a man of great character, Jon is also playful and kind, so our friends’ children love to play with him.

Words to describe Jon include smart, funny, caring, devoted, patient, strong, athletic, hardworking, faithful, and generous.

Our family and friends are extremely supportive of our decision to adopt. They are excited to welcome a new child into their lives and cannot wait to help us create special memories and new traditions with your child. All of Jon’s immediate family live near us, so we typically spend holidays with his parents, brother, sister-in-law and grandparents. Jamesie’s parents live in Florida, but we try to see them once or twice a year. Because our immediate families are smaller, we consider some of our closest friends to be family.

Jon and Jamesie's home in IndianaOur Home & Community & Pet
Our five-year old home in Indiana has an open floor plan with a great room, three bedrooms and two full baths on the main level and a large basement.

Outside we have a big backyard with lots of room to run and play. Though we live in a country subdivision surrounded by farms and cornfields, we work and play in the quaint, yet growing downtown area of our community.

We have a 12-year old dog named Berkeley, and all he really does is sleep and eat. He’s a good dog who is well-liked and he goes to work with Jamesie a few days a week.

Our Faith
Our faith in Jesus Christ is important to us; it is an extension of who we are and how we live our lives. We are active members of a local Christian church where we have been involved with various teams. We plan to teach our children biblical values and we are looking forward to the opportunity to pray with our children and to read Bible stories to them.
