Dear Birthmother,

Thank you for the chance to tell you about our home and our lives. We have been married for over ten wonderful years. We love children! When we found out having biological children was not going to happen for us, we decided to adopt. We love our two boys who have joined our hearts and our home. We have so much fun together as a family... but we've noticed an empty spot! We'd love to share our home with another little "somebody."

About Justin by Rebecca
Justin is a wonderful husband and daddy! He's very softhearted, and his family and friends mean a lot to him. He has a great sense of humor and can be a big tease. When I have a problem, I know he'll be there to help me. I love watching the boys together with him, traipsing across the yard with their boots on - ready to "help Daddy." Before bedtime, I'll often find Justin playing on the floor with the boys and peels of laughter will be heard.

Justin loves being a self-employed farmer. We also raise Holstein heifer calves. With our farm work being seasonal, Justin also works for one of our friend's concrete construction business. We have a little river that runs through the back of our farm. The wildlife there makes it the perfect spot! Justin is looking forward to sharing his hobbies with his boys!

About Rebecca by Justin
Rebecca is a terrific wife and mother. I like the way she makes our home a special place to come home to. She has a very tender heart and loves babies and children. She enjoys being an "at home mom" and giving our boys lots of affection. Rebecca is a very out-going person and loves to entertain family and friends in our home. Her hobbies include sewing, gardening, and riding bikes with the boys. She loves to bake, especially most anything that has chocolate and peanut butter! Her pizza is a family favorite.

The Boys
Derek is a gentle, fun-loving 9 year old. He loves to ride bikes and he has lots of friends. Watching birds eat from his feeders is one of his favorite hobbies. He really enjoys school and being able to read books. He has a big imagination and loves to talk. Jaylen is an energetic, out-going 5 year old. He loves the outdoors... whether it's swinging, digging in the dirt, playing with the kitties, or going with Daddy in the tractor! The boys are really close friends... where one is, the other one usually wants to be! They are both looking forward to a new baby, and they'll be proud big brothers.

Home Is Where Our
Hearts Are
Our home is cozy, roomy, and full of love. It is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Iowa. We have a spacious backyard where the boys love to swing, and play with our cats, Peanut Butter and Blackie. Our 365-acre farm has several ponds and lots of wildlife. We see lots of deer, and the geese love to fly over and land on our ponds. We spend a lot of time together as a family. In the summer evenings, we work in the garden, play, or go along if Justin's working in the fields. We enjoy having wiener roasts and picnics with friends.

Extended Family
We have a close relationship with both our extended families. We love to be together for family get-togethers, and our vacations often find us with our families. The boys love to be with their cousins and their Grandpas and Grandmas. Our families are very excited about our plans to adopt a child.

Our Faith
We are Christians and are actively involved in our church. We believe it is important to put God first in our lives. Our church friends are like one big family and they are very excited for us.

The private Christian school Derek attends is close by in our neighborhood. It is a secure environment and the children receive a great education which we feel is important.
