Hello from Kane & Lisa, a warm and loving couple living in the Sierra Nevada Mountains!

About Us
Our marriage began with a bang: we relocated to a new community, bought our first house, started a business and worked on building a family. Together we have always had a strong desire have a child to share our love with, but infertility has not allowed this to happen.

We are very down-to-earth folks: we take great pleasure in simple things, preparing homemade meals, planting gardens. We love home improvement, decorating and painting. We are especially eager to hear the sound of pitter-patter feet on our wood floors!

We enjoy evening walks, bicycling on weekends, streamside picnics, and beaching lakeside. We just love the outdoors: all we have to do is walk or take a short drive and we are in God's country. We also enjoy traveling and exploring the U.S., visiting new places each time.

Lisa
My wife Lisa is a nanny by nature. Throughout her life, she has been responsible for the care of many children. Her hobbies include ironing, sewing, and restoring furniture. Lisa loves entertaining: she hosts on holidays and feels great joy when family stays with us.

If I were to sum up Lisa in a few words, I would say: well organized, structured, outgoing, very very fun (super fun to be with!), patient, energetic, dependable, and-most importantly-thoughtful.

Lisa will be a fantastic mother. She is adored by children that she meets, always has a healthy treat up her sleeve, and has a heart filled with warmth and cheer.

Kane
My husband Kane is a loving, devoted, kind man who loves being an uncle. Children love him because of his silly, goofy behavior that makes us all giggle and laugh.

Kane is also very artistic, well-read and musical: he always has at least three books cracked open at any given time, and he loves to play guitar and share his newest songs with me.

He enjoys hiking in the local woods: he appreciates the beauty and peacefulness of nature, and has a deep knowledge of forest plants and wildlife.

My husband will be a wonderful father with an abundance of patience and never-ending love and affection.

Our Home and Neighborhood
Our home is very important to us: it reflects our personalities and our dreams. We have created a comfortable welcoming home for ourselves, friends and family -and soon -a child: we are excited to announce the addition of a nursery room to our home.

The neighborhood we live in is filled with pine trees and fresh air, the echo of children's laughter through the trees. It is a small family-oriented community in Northern California. There are lots of parks, beaches, hiking trails and streams-right outside our door!

Family and Friends: The People We Love
We are very family oriented and are blessed to have such a terrific family support system. Lisa's parents have been married for over 42 years and are excellent role models for a healthy marriage and family. Kane's parents have both been happily remarried for over two decades; both couples are now retired and live nearby. They are all very excited and supportive about our journey towards adoption.

Family gatherings are a regular occurrence with us. At home we enjoy entertaining: we love to have family and friends over for barbeques, holiday dinners, or just having neighbors over for games and fun. There are always plenty of adventures to go on, and -of course -lots of good food!

Our Faith
We attend a Christian church on Sundays and look forward to the weekly message the pastor delivers. Our church offers a wonderful children's ministry and Sunday school.

Our faith is central to our lives. We both have a strong belief in God and pray for His strength and guidance in our daily affairs, and we feel that His direction improves our relationships personally, professionally, and in our daily lives.

Our Promise to You
We promise unconditional love, traditional values and morals. We are financially stable and will be able to provide a stay-at-home mommy. We can support your child in their dreams and goals, encouraging them to develop their special talents, and are excited to guide them as they grow and find their path in this world.

We feel that open and honest communication is important and will share how adoption blessed our family with our child, and we are open to as much communication as you desire.
