We are Ken and Aimee from Alabama and we are excited to adopt.  We're a Christian couple with lots of love and big hearts.  Thank you for letting us share about ourselves and our desire to share our life with your child.

About Us
We met in pharmacy school and seven years ago we married, right before we graduated.  We started as best friends and our marriage is founded on our faith and friendship.  We have wanted to be parents for several years and were blessed with that privilege for two months.  Our son was born with a heart defect but couldn't overcome this problem despite the doctors' best efforts.  Our time with our son reaffirmed in our hearts our desire to be parents.  Adoption is a different route to parenthood than our first but no less special or exciting, and will fill our hearts with the joy of having a child!

We love taking walks together in the evening to share the day’s experiences.  We enjoy traveling.  Fall means our favorite sport, football!  On autumn Fridays we are supporting our local high school team and Saturdays cheering on our college team!  Our favorite activity together is competition barbecuing!  We have a custom-made trailer with four grills and we compete in cook-offs several times a year.

About Ken from Aimee’s Heart
Ken is my soul mate and it is a joy being his wife.  I know he will be an incredible father because I saw him being a wonderful, loving daddy while we were with our son.  I love to watch Ken working as a pharmacist.  He is so caring with his patients.  Ken also coaches a kid’s basketball team at our church.   Ken loves sports and he is excited to share his love for all sports as a dad!  I know it will be a huge advantage to a child to grow-up with such a special man to call “daddy.” 

About Aimee from Ken’s Heart
Aimee is my best friend and the love of my life.   I know how much she loves children because she was the greatest mommy in the world during our brief time with our son.  I love to see her volunteering in our nursery at church because she is so nurturing with the children.  Aimee loves to read and sing so she will love to read stories and sing lullabies to your child.  She loves being a pharmacist but she can’t wait to become a stay-at-home mom after we adopt.

Our Family
Most of Ken’s family live nearby and are great friends.  We are with Ken’s parents and brother every Sunday at church and lots of other times.  We also have big family events several times a year.  Ken has two cousins that were adopted, so his family knows how special adoption is and are excited about seeing the family grow through adoption again!

Aimee’s family live a few hours away but it’s an easy drive that we make frequently.  Aimee is really close to her family.  Aimee’s brother and wife recently had a baby and we’ve loved spoiling our new nephew.  Aimee also has extended family waiting to share the love to another baby.  She has lots of young cousins so playmates are everywhere!

Our Home
Our home in Alabama is a three bedroom, two bath, brick house with tons of sunlight.  Our dog Belle enjoys our large, fenced-in backyard and is waiting to share it with children!

We live in a small, new neighborhood close to many conveniences.  We are good friends with our neighbors who are mostly families with children. 

From Our Hearts
