Dear Birthmother,

We are so happy at the thought of being first time parents.  Thank you for considering our family.  Due to pregnancy complications we have never been able to carry a baby to term.  We’ve always hoped to raise children and are excited to begin our family through adoption.

Our Life Together
We love telling people that we met in a barbecue restaurant after a shoeshine man pointed us out to each other.  We are best friends who have been married for 14 amazing years.  We have had many adventures together traveling and trying everything from horseback riding to ballroom dancing and skydiving.  On weekends we enjoy trying new restaurants, browsing bookstores or catching a matinee.  But our favorite place to be is at home in the country where we take walks, play with our dogs and just enjoy everyday life in our own private neck of the woods.

My Husband Kenny
Kenny is one of those people you meet and instantly like.  He is a kind man and he can’t wait to be a dad.  He always makes me laugh. He is comfortable in any setting and rarely meets a stranger.

Kenny loves music, plays the guitar, and records his own music.  I love hearing him sing too.  He has participated in martial arts most of his life including karate and recently Jiu-Jitsu.  He works in the medical supply industry and manages a successful area in the southeast. He will make a great dad one day, providing a stable and loving home.
 
My Wife Terri
Terri will make a wonderful mother.  She has a huge heart and children easily identify with her.  She makes them feel safe and comfortable.   Terri is a children’s librarian and kids respond well to her attention.  I have never seen anyone with more desire or ability to raise children.

Terri loves to read.  She also likes writing her own stories, journaling and blogging. Terri has a natural gift with animals and our cats and dogs love to follow her around the house.  She enjoys traveling, and England in particular.  This may be because one of her favorite authors is Jane Austin.  But most of all Terri enjoys our home.  She enjoys cooking and decorating.  One of things I truly love about her is she makes our house a home.

Where We Live
We live in Georgia on 30 acres of private woods and pastures.  Our beautiful, four bedroom home has a charming southern appeal.  One of our favorite rooms is the renovated movie room with an old-fashioned popcorn machine. There is a fenced in swimming pool and we even built a barn and arena for riding and training our horses.

Our community is small but has a wonderful school system.  We are within minutes of a beautiful state park, cute boutique shops and an ice cream parlor.  There is also a nearby resort with hiking and biking trails, fishing, golf and tennis.  It is a wonderful place for children with plenty of opportunities for every kind of adventure.

Our Faith and Family
We are truly thankful to have friends and family who have supported us from the beginning.  They are thrilled with our plans to adopt.  Kenny’s family lives nearby while Terri’s family is split between Georgia and Texas.  There are plenty of loved ones around waiting to share hugs, playtime and even diaper changing duty.

Every year our families come to our home for Thanksgiving and it’s a true production.  We spend the entire weekend playing games, eating, watching football and movies.  It’s a tradition that we look forward to every single year.

Our church family is also very important to us.  We cherish the friends and relationships we have made.  We worship and believe in Jesus Christ and thank Him for our many blessings.  We attend church weekly and enjoy practicing our faith by teaching Sunday school, tithing, serving on the Altar Guild and offering our home for youth meetings.

Our Promise
Our heart's desire is to be parents.  And we want to assure you that your child will be loved and celebrated.  We will sing, read, and play games with your child.  We will give him or her all of our affection.  We promise to raise your child to be happy, educated, healthy and of course truly, truly loved.
