Adoptive parents, Lee and Deela

Dear Birthmother,

Thank you so much for taking time to learn more about us. Our names are Lee and Deela. We have been married for 14 years. We are blessed with our son, Jesse, and we can’t wait to adopt our second child. We will do all we can to fulfill the dreams you have for him or her.

Lee and Deela enjoy bike ridingAbout Us
We love being parents and after several miscarriages we decided adoption would be the best path for us to continue to build our family.

We have a great time as a family. As a family we enjoy going bike riding, camping, going to the movies, watching football or attending sports events, and we love vacations!

About Lee
Lee is a wonderful father and husband. He is an electrical engineer. He is a smart, funny, compassionate, and down-to-earth guy. Our friends describe Lee as a typical “guy next door.” Recently we had a storm blow through anLee out fishingd Lee immediately went to help the neighbors pick up branches and make sure everyone was okay. He is considerate and helpful whenever possible.

Lee loves being outside with Jesse riding bikes, playing ball, riding four-wheelers, and building campfires for roasting marshmallows. Lee is excited about being a dad and I know he’ll be a loving father to your child.

About Deela
Deela is a cosmetologist. She loves her job, but she loves being a mom more, so she only works three days a week. I would describe Deela as fun! She is always laughing and she lives each day to the fullest.

Deela loves her job as a cosmetologistIn her free time, she enjoys taking nature walks, going to the park, seeing the latest Disney movie, being at home and spending time with the family. She loves helping her friends, church, and family.

She willingly devotes much of her time to helping out wherever she can. Deela is generous and compassionate and selflessly gives to others in various ways, which is one of the things that make me proud to be her husband.

Jesse playing in the tree house that Lee builtAbout Our Son, Jesse
Jesse is our six-year-old son. He is smart, funny, loving, and a great kid. He is full of energy; he plays soccer and basketball. He enjoys playing outside riding his bike, jumping on the trampoline and playing with his dog, Bully.

He enjoys having friends and his cousins over to play. He is very excited about having a brother or sister and has been praying and wishing for a sibling for some time. Jesse will be a great big brother!

Education is very important to us and Jesse attends a private Christian school. It’s a great school; small enough for the students to know each other well, and we appreciate that it helps us instill Christian values. Your child would also have these opportunities, as well as plenty of resources to help him or her follow his or her dreams.

Lee and Deela's home in AlabamaOur Home
Our home sits on sixteen acres in Alabama. We have a red brick house that we built ourselves. It has three bedrooms with two and half baths.

We have a great tree house that Lee built. It’s awesome and he actually built it into the trees. It has doors, windows, and a slide. We have trails through our property where we like to walk and ride bikes, and even take “hay rides.”

Deela teaching Vacation Bible SchoolOur Faith
We are dedicated to instilling the same important values to our children as our families shared with us. We attend a Christian church weekly that has wonderful activities for children of all ages. We are close with other families our age from our church, and spend time with them at church socials or in each other’s home. Our church is very welcoming and open-minded. Our church “family” is very supportive of our adoption plans.

Our Families
Lee out four-wheeling with nieces and nephewsOur families are great and are very supportive of our adoption plans. In our family, your child will have loving grandparents. Every Thursday, Deela’s dad takes all the grandchildren to breakfast and then to school. Lee’s parents are very patient. They love to spend time with their grandchildren and to take time with them fishing, which usually ends in playing in the creek.

Lee and Deela are excited to add to their family through adoption! In Closing
