We are honored for this opportunity to tell you a little more about our family. We offer you the reassurance that your child would be welcomed into our loving and caring family. We believe that families created by adoption are special and your child will always know their adoption story and the wonderful way that we became a family.

About Us
We met in 2002 and have been married for four years. Leon is a realtor and Kathy is a business owner. We love the flexibility of our schedules and set our own hours. Wonderful and challenging times have made our marriage and our friendship stronger. Our marriage is based on love, honesty, friendship and respect.

Leon has a son, Leon Jr., who is nine years old and though he doesn’t live with us full time, he is a special part of our family.

Together we follow football, either on TV watching our favorite teams, or going to Leon Jr.’s practices and games. We spend many of our after work hours around the house unwinding in front of the TV and just hanging out with Leon Jr. He keeps busy either going to the YMCA camps and skateboarding, riding dirt bikes with his friends or playing video games with his dad.

About Leon
When I met Leon the first thing I noticed was his beautiful smile and dimples – he lit up the room. He loves being around people and has a very outgoing personality.

He likes to golf, play pool, travel, write music and watch all sports on TV (especially the Dallas Cowboys). He has a great sense of humor and is a loving and supportive husband. I will often find him and Leon Jr. playing video games or watching the latest adventure movie.

About Kathy
I don’t know where to start when talking about Kathy; there are just so many wonderful things about her. She is a kind and loving person who puts the needs of others before herself. She is a dedicated friend to all those that she comes in contact with and is the love of my life. She exhibits strength in all she does and rarely comes across a task or situation that she cannot handle. She likes to travel, read, work out and watch the Chargers football games.

About Leon Jr.
Leon Jr. is passionate about many different things - skateboarding, guitar hero, riding dirt bikes with his friends, video games, day camp at the YMCA and playing Pop Warner football.

He is very social and outgoing and makes friends easily. Leon Jr. is so excited about becoming a big brother, he can’t wait to teach his new sister everything he knows.

Our Parenting Goals
We want our children to have fun, positive experiences. We believe in raising our family through love and understanding, guidance and teaching, plenty of patience and a healthy dose of humor. We believe in teaching children the wonders of learning, the value of family, and the importance of kindness and respect.

Our Family
Leon comes from a large family with seven brothers and one sister, and thirty-one nieces and nephews of all ages. Leon’s mom and siblings live in northern Texas and his dad lives in southern Texas.

Kathy has two brothers and four nieces and nephews. Kathy’s mom lives half the year in California and the other half in Washington. Her dad and his wife also spend the winter in California and summers in Canada.

Our families are excited to welcome a new baby through adoption and our parents can’t wait for another grandchild. We have always wanted another child, and have talked about adoption since we got married. We know in our hearts that adoption is the right choice for us to build our family.

About Our Home
We have a four bedroom, three bath home in a nice family-oriented neighborhood in Washington. There is a park around the corner and we are about a mile away from the riverfront bike path and greenbelt We’ve met many people who have moved here to raise their families because of the great schools, outdoor activities, four seasons and safe environment.
