Thank you for considering us as a family for your child. Adoption has been a blessing for us; we love being adoptive parents and we are delighted to be ready to adopt a second child.

About Us
We are an energetic Christian couple who live in Northern California and have been married over 7 years. We strive to follow the biblical model of marriage, which is mutual love, respect, and friendship centered around our faith in Christ, which binds us together. We believe that God has chosen the path of adoption for us, and in 2003 we were blessed to adopt our daughter Kate. We are ready and excited to expand our family with a second adoption.

Meet My Wife, Debbie
Debbie is a wonderful mother. She has a good way of balancing fun with love and structure so that our children will grow up to be strong, stable, loving people. Debbie is a smart, educated woman, and is very personable, hospitable, and compassionate. Debbie works part-time as a geologist for an environmental consulting firm near our home, and spends her days off with Kate at play dates and dance class. She is an avid gardener who transformed our front yard into a flower garden filled with daffodils, tulips, roses, and daisies. Debbie is a great cook, baker, and hostess, who loves to make gifts of baked goodies or home-cooked meals. I know Debbie looks forward to planting flowers and making treats with our children.

Meet My Husband, Mark
Mark is my best friend and he is a great dad. When Kate wakes up, Mark is often first to welcome her into the day with hugs and kisses. He is tender and nurturing, as well as playful and silly. Mark and Kate love to play "hide and seek", chase each other, and sit together to cuddle and read. Mark is very athletic and enjoys running and hiking in the nearby open space, and lifting weights at the local gym.

Mark is a loving, intelligent, fun-loving man who is committed to his family. For the past 15 years, he has worked as the information systems manager for a money management firm he helped start. Mark is often home for lunch and has the schedule flexibility to have lots of family time. Mark is a man of God who embodies integrity, compassion, and love, and I know he'll make a great father-of-two.

Meet Our Daughter, Kate
We were blessed in 2003 with the birth of our daughter, Kate. She is a happy, bright, energetic little girl who loves to cuddle, draw, play dress-up, read books, run around outside, and play with her dolls, friends, and Cody. Cody is our dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback (mixed with Lab) who came to our family when he was 10 months old. Kate loves building forts with Daddy and baking with Mommy. Kate can't wait to be a big sister!

Our Families
Our family and friends love to camp together and look forward to roasting marshmallows and singing songs around campfires, hiking among the Redwoods, and fishing along mountain streams. We love spending time with our extended family, all of whom live in California. Mark has a younger sister and Debbie has 2 older brothers, and all our siblings have children of their own. Our family get-togethers always include lots of cousin and grandparent playtime.

Our Home & Community
We live in a family-friendly community, with lots of room in our yard for playing and building forts. Our neighborhood is full of small children including several young children right on our street. We live near several parks and a wonderful wildlife museum, and are near a large city offering abundant culture.

Our Commitment
Faith is the cornerstone of our relationship and we see it as the cornerstone of a healthy family. We were both raised in strong Christian homes, and we plan to follow this model as we build our own family. Our commitment is to raise your child in a loving, moral home surrounded by the love of parents, siblings, extended family, friends, and pets. We promise to love your child completely and unconditionally, provide a happy, fun home, and do all that we can to enable your child to achieve his/her dream. We would be happy to keep in touch through periodic letters, photos, and visits.
