We're so glad you've chosen to get to know us. We're an accepting, responsible, adventuresome couple, happily married for 17 years. We are eager to share our stable, loving, happy home with a child. We are infertile but excited that God wants us to start a family through adoption. Adopted himself, Mark knows first hand the blessing of adoption. We understand that families are built from commitment, devotion and unconditional love.

About Us
We met almost twenty years ago and have been inseparable ever since. We are like-minded, communicate well and trust each other completely. Mark has worked in the computer industry for 15 years and Erin has run her own clinic teaching learning-disabled children for over 10 years.

We like to hike in the local state parks, travel, play games and barbeque with good friends and family. We play hockey together - Mark is excellent and Erin has found undiscovered athletic talent! We attend an Episcopal church every Sunday and our lives are guided by our Christian faith and values.

My Wife Erin
Erin is optimistic, happy, tolerant and easy-going. She cares deeply for people and always puts others’ comfort and well-being before her own. She possesses a quiet inner strength and strong faith.

I am most proud of her for her work with learning-disabled children. Her patience, gentle encouragement, and soothing manner with her students show what a wonderful mother she will be.

Erin speaks fluent Spanish, French and Italian, is a quick learner and an amazing teacher. But her deepest desire is to be a stay-at-home mom and raise a cherished child using the gifts with which the Lord has blessed her.

My Husband Mark
Mark is practical, loving and generous, absolutely devoted to family. He supports and protects me while encouraging my personal goals and growth. He is a selfless, consistent provider who has sacrificed many of his own desires so I can pursue my own business.

Mark has a passion for learning, readily sharing his knowledge. He has an Master’s degree in Physics and can - and will - tell you exactly why the sky is blue or answer almost any ‘how’ or ‘why’ question. He's not all serious, though, and loves to make people laugh. He is brainy but also athletic, able to play almost any sport well. He never ceases to surprise or amaze me.

Our Family and Friends
We love our family dearly and they are the most important thing in our lives.

All our parents, sisters, brothers, step-sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins are excited about us adopting. There are four prospective grandparents just waiting to spoil a new grandchild!

Erin's family lives in California, Hawaii and Florida and Mark's family all live in California, a short drive away.

We have many long-time, close friends that we consider part of our extended family. All of us love to get together for barbeques, dinner out, hiking, festivals, and going to the beach. Sometimes we even travel abroad together. They are all wonderful people who are encouraging and supportive of our plans to adopt and will be there for us always.

Our Home
Our four-bedroom home is in a small, family-oriented California town just minutes from the beach and lots of beautiful parks. Our neighborhood is safe and quiet, nestled in the hills just outside of town. Our property has plenty of room for a child to run, play and explore; it's a great place for a kid to just be a kid.

Our schools are among the best in the state. The San Francisco Bay Area, world-class museums, cultural centers, major-league sports teams and all that big cities have to offer are a short drive away.

Our Commitment to You
We will strive to provide all the love, protection, and encouragement your child needs to grow into a stable, happy, confident person with the skills to succeed in life. Erin will be a stay-at-home mom so daycare won't be necessary. We promise to give your child the focus of a loving family with strong Christian values that places the highest importance on education and personal growth.

As part of an adoptive family ourselves, we're ready to help your child understand what a special blessing a birthmother is. We are comfortable and open to sharing letters, pictures and videos through the years.
